Much Respect to this video! I'm 45 and a few weeks ago I made the rookie mistake and just messed up. I had some lacerations and had to go to the hospital and get some stitches etc over a dumb stupid safety mistake I was not paying attention to. Fast forward to getting my stitches off a few days ago I now invested in chaps, helmet, gloves, arm protectors etc. I don't fuck around anymore after my accident and spending good money on quality safety equipment is cheaper than an ER visit and medical bills and pain. I have much more respect now and I've been watching safety videos on this stuff. I appreciate videos like this to engage safety first. Hell...My Pop just gave me crap telling me he always told us as kids that SAFETY FIRST!!! He was right. Thank You for this video. Sure I love music, video games, funny videos but videos like this always make a difference in life so thanks a million again. A+++++
This guy is great! What to do and why...succinct...memorable...effective. I have watched every single one of these videos with the same mentor. Awesome!
I don't know who this guy is but he is real good! Been around a long time and this guy is spot on and intense. I am sick of tutorials and classes being taught by individuals who only know what they have read from a syllabus, book etc.... This guy has "Foxhole under fire" real world experience I can tell. He is very easy to listen to and comprehension is effortless listening to him. Hopefully someday he will do seminars. Hint hint . Thanks for the great videos.
Watching these videos from the UK having been a chainsaw user for quite a few years (non-professional). I think they’re excellent and I’ve decided to watch them all!
I do appreciate with many thanks for your tutorial lessons giving in this shows and it's very interesting including cautions and maintenance! It's me, Sule Shangodoyin.
Very Good video but it is important to inspect Chaps and pants every time you wash and every time you use the garments for signs of wear, chaps and pants can be used for a period of time but the amount of use will determine the life of the garment.......after many washes and uses it is best to replace the garments just from a preventative point of view ....protecting your legs is worth it ....
Where are you guys located? So anyone can get a few hours hands on training; Sthil offers an hour plus video & facility for safety use and maintenance training.
The chainsaw pants, do they go over a pair of work pants or by themselves? I find the chaps very uncomfortable & distracting. But 2 layers of pants seem hot.

In Sweden we use shoulder protection as well. And proper boots with kevlar. Strange that this guy really just goes past that.

Don't think it's sissy wearing PPE. Getting slapped in the head by a limb that was under tension without the helmet is not fun.
