3 times. October 2019, March 2020, June 2021. I’ve hit that putt on King from one end of the green to other at least 30 times. The course is an amusement park!

Yes. First week of May 2024. The worst conditioned golf course I’ve ever played. Sounds like they’re back in prime shape but what a let down. 😢 Would have been nice to get a call or email to let us know all the grass was dead so we could pivot the trip. Still. Architecturally, a cool track and I’ll probably be back.

"Hadn't seen one in a long time," he says casually. What a veteran of the Game.

Sweetens is legendary and timeless. It will be around for generations to come, which is the true test of Rob & King’s vision. Cheers boys 🍻

Great stuff TFE! Having been there once and itching to go back a second time, this added fuel to the fire to make the return trop happen.

i first played this in fall 2016 . It was a different world back then. I remember being the only one of two on the course and they just said "we're leaving, just put the carts back when yall are done" lol

    Great watch, thanks TFE.
Played it a few years back and felt like I continually got punished for good shots. Listening to Rob’s perspective, maybe they weren’t such good shots. 😂

Send them an email. They made those for an event last year and might have extras still for sale.

I live in middle Tennessee....and this is a bucket list course for me a couple of my buddies....but up until this vlog I was under the impression it was co owned by Payton Manning and another celebrity....and it was very hard to get on to play ....am I wrong ?

Peyton Manning and Andy Roddick came in later and do (or did) have an ownership stake in Sweetens (along with Reef Capital Partners now). Getting on the course is done via day-passes that do tend to sell out fairly quickly, so you need to get on their website and plan a decent amount of time ahead. The good news is the cost of a day pass is very reasonable (all you can play for the day)

Yeah I went on the website....10 dollars to reserve a day pass and around 120 dollars this time of year Mon threw Wends ...and 150ish for Thurs threw Friday per person but that is for all day ....and I guess if the date you reserve ends up having terrible weather your just out the 10 dollars ....probably make some plans to go ....going to talk to the guys I play with Saturday ....8 of us are going to Dale Hollow State Park golf course in KY...to play a friendly game of what we call scats ....sorta like playing skins ....but no carry overs ....if there is a tie on the hole it is just a wash....have to win the hole outright to win the cash .....just makes it little competitive without it getting to serious .....but we play it ever Saturday at our home course ....first tee time ...and anyone is welcome to tee it up ....( we only play for a dollar a hole ) ....and every now and again we gather up and go to a different course and play ....like we are sat ..at dale hollow ......which if you have never played dale hollow state park golf course in KY.....highly suggest it ...

I'm a little worried to go back as the more investment money that comes in and the more changes they make, the riskier it becomes to lose what makes this place special. I understand the tempt to do a lot of flashy things, but as in golf architecture, sometimes in business, less is more and you have to have restraint. Going to the place where you're greeted by Patrick Boyd and you have to go to the "good" Subway for food are already gone.
