- our review of the 2024 International LT after we put over 125,000 miles on it!! 2 big changes!!! The back up assistants has gotten so much better!!! but the crash amidagation system has gotten worse with technology. When going down hill, sometimes it mistakes the hill for something in front of you and apply the system/breaks. If a car cuts you off, it has had a system failure... locking up the breaks on our entire set and not allowing us to have control over the truck. pretty scare stuff in reality
making our truck into a home
• making our SEMI TRUCK ...
Be careful, stay safe and enjoy the adventures.

I agree the crash mitigation system is dangerous not only in the international trucks, but all of them. Thanks for sharing.
It's so frustrated how fats the industry is trying to push this stuff. It's just not ready!
Contact your Bendix rep. Its their system most likely. Voice your concerns and displeasure!
Tesla’s FSD has allegedly killed over 100 people. Technology going backwards.
Great job on the interior!
If you had your choice what truck brand, engine and transmission would you purchase?
You are a lovely lady. Nice truck ❤
👍
The crash mitigation system can a will cause serious issues and in my opinion for a new driver that can hardly can control a truck to start with in certain situations is dangerous period. MY experience 2 times snow conditions one driving across Wyoming elk mountain are going down hill system locked the truck up roads snow packed and ice. I almost lost the truck sliding due to it . Next Atlanta GA off ramp snow and snow packed area it locked truck up almost went in to the ditch. Next coming into Denver Colorado. Roads salt and sand covered damp and misty heavy traffic system locked up lucky truck behind me didn’t hit my trailer. Cause for system to shut the truck down was sensor being covered by snow / ice are road dirt. Peterbilt worked on system several times didnt fix issue. After Denver mine got disabled period. My opinion safety things are awesome but this can and probably has caused accidents but they wont report it and call it. Because of the driver
What motor and transmission is your rig?
It is an international a26.
Unfortunately inhave always been a company driver and driver lower end trucks sonics hard to tell you my favorite truck. We driver a kenworth T680 with a million miles and it drove like a champ!!!!! The truck was quality built!!!
The E.G.R vaule went out of our 2024 international at 220,000 miles....
@@SimpleLivin International has the new S15 engine and transmission system which is from Europe. Hopefully your company will acquire one for you all as it is getting great reviews and saves 15% in fuel costs.
It has an automated 14 speed transmission.
You can order these trucks without the collision mitigation system.
Yes. you can get them with no crash mitigation system or you can also spec them so the system can be turned off, most companies spec them so they can't be turned off by drivers.
The truck is the roughest riding truck on the road . Probably the most fuel efficient truck on the road . And Probably the most unsafe truck on the road . I got out of mine because it couldn't hold 120 psi . International clam they couldn't find anything wrong .
We agree!! They also have the worst fleet mechanics. They never find anything wrong or claim they fixed it..... unfortunately we don't get to choose our truck. We are company drivers
Ours will hit 120, but takes a looking time, and air scales are beyond slow
We now have 220,000 miles on it and the EGR valve went out....
We have the same system in a 2024 Mack Anthem and it’s absolute junk.
For the sake of yours and the public motorists safety, can you manually shut off the crash mitigation system? An automatic international is one thing, the least they could do for you is keep you safe.
Unfortunately NO!!! That would be a great idea. A better idea is only hired professionals that know how and will drive the truck safely without all these ridiculous safely features.
International has nothing to do with that. Its most likely a Bendix Wingman or something similar. All big class 8 rigs have it.
You can wrap antenna to the foil, it's work 100% but in crash situation insurance will make investigation, and if they found foil it's gonna be your guilty.
@@Serge_Pilligrim if you rear end someone, you’re guilty regardless. I’d imagine if the drivers not hurt too bad they’d pull the foil off before taking pictures
