But if you don't know hiphop, you don't know 2pac and still know Eminem.
Thats how popular Em is. 2pac has multiple movies but those movies are not that known outside of US. But eminem's music is mainstrean outside of US.

2pac is known by everyone not just for his music, but when he first got shot, huge media. When he was going to court it was everywhere and then how he got killed in Vegas with Suge driving. They're still doing documentaries to this day. But Flawd never said Pac is bigger. He said they're both as well known. Because Em was everywhere for a long period. He has 10 albums with 1 billion streams. That's insane. So there's definitely an argument for both. 2pac shirts are still worn by tons of people to this day and he was murdered how long ago?? Id add Biggie to the list of internationally known US rappers. There are obviously a lot more that are known to fans of rap in other countries, but Big, Pac, and Em are really the only 3 that are even close to household names.

It's not even close. Random old white women who know Em is. They don't know who Pac is -- maybe they heard his name, but sometimes not even that.
Eminem is the best-selling ARTIST between 2001 and 2007, and it wasn't even close for about 3 years. He was also high up there between 1998 and 2009. He almost single-handedly saved CDs and the MP3. I think he was the most streamed rapper on Spotify in 2023, or maybe it was just artist, period? He's also one of the biggest RUclips channels.
On top of that, many only know Pac via Em (as is the case for Lil Wayne and 50 Cent, and many others -- all highly popular only after Eminem, circa 2004). Pac's movies are not well-known outside America. 8 Mile is much larger, on the other hand.

Idk if it’s because you’ve already listened to the albums, or you just like his newer stuff, but you should dive into the Slim shady and Marshall Mathers LP. If not check out Madd rapper feat Eminem "Stir Crazy", I’m pretty sure it was his first feature after becoming the biggest thing in hip hop back in the early 2000’s. "Murder Murder", and "Bad influence" both from movie soundtracks are great too. Even without a reaction, you two should at least check those 3 out.
