Well done to your brother. I have taken several trips in Italy and no doubt will travel there again at some point. The most recent trip was from Domodossola to Locarno through the mountains. A very scenic route and included the in great value Swiss Rail Pass. I once read of an American tourist who became very angry at the conductor as they had missed their stop, not realising Firenze was in fact Florence.
Tuscany looks beautiful Thom. One day I hope to visit Pisa and Florence! Thank you for the info to help me plan. Looking forward to your high speed video🙂
I thoroughly enjoyed your video. Glad your brother likes trains too ! I love Italy, and not just for its wonderful food ! The trains are great, especially the high speed ones. It is unfortunate that so many local trains in Italy suffer from dreadful graffiti, and the authorities don’t appear to do much to stop it ! Many thanks.
Regarding the Italian high speed trains two are capable of running into German and Austrian 15kv 16.7hz PZB90 LZB Sifa ETCS systems ETR610 and ETR1000. The ETR1000 needs to go 230 kmh to match ÖBB Baureihe 1016-1216 DB Baureihe 182/183 neu in Austria but in Germany 300 kmh under LZB. You got a E464 locomotive. At one point you got a Pendolino overtaking your E464
No bells & horns make sense there 0 Railroad Crossings either that or it just Quite cost to cost I don't like bells I don't think they got bells as we do in America Canada.

Hi thank you for your videos , can I choose a ticket to take this scenic route?
You can buy it at the station
Is there any space for placing the luggage?
No special luggage racks, but the train should be empty enough outside of common rush hours to take luggage along!
