Holiday in Motion starts Dec 5 at MVHS

The Mahoning Valley Historical Society in Youngstown Ohio will be showcasing the Arms Family Museum, this December with Holiday in Motion.
Holiday in Motion opens Saturday, December 5, and runs through Sunday, January 10, 2010.
Grand Opening Weekend - December 5th & 6th
$1 Admission! Saturday 10am-5pm; Sunday 1-5pm
The seven first floor period rooms of the Arms Family home will be decorated with artifacts from the Historical Societys collections along with hundreds of items on loan from private individuals that will include: working Lionel Train displays, animated German tick-tock figures; a vintage nativity set and other religious artifacts; a room full of Santa Claus figures in various forms dating back to the mid 1800s; and 1950s era Christmas trees with period lighting and hundreds of Shiny Brite and Plakie Twinkler ornaments.
Regular museum hours are Tuesday-Sunday from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. (closed Mondays)
Extended hours on Saturday December 5th, 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; and on Wednesday December 9th and Wednesday December 16th the museum will stay open until 8:00 p.m.
Admission for Holiday in Motion is $4 for adults, $3 for Senior Citizens (60+), and $2 for children, three and under is free.
