DId you actually get a weapon upgrade for killing one of those Atlas guys during the "Friendly Fire Challenge"? I thought you weren't supposed to shoot them. You shot them and got an upgrade for it, is that it?

Yeah you get an upgrade in solo if you kill the bots that appear. I think the same would happen in co-op, but I rarely try to kill the others in co-op.
