    I like that you're still on RUclips after 15 years, it's amazing and pretty rare to see people still on RUclips after a long time
    Keep up the good work mate

    I know this won’t be seen and I know it’s not relevant, but Tom Brier is how I met this channel, and it’s how I continue after 12 years to visit this channel, and since his accident I’ve been devastated to hear my piano-god has gone almost under and can’t return to his former glory, I still want him to know, however you can get in contact with Tom, that he’s made my entire career and entire love of ragtime and music in general. He is (regardless of the 10 year old neck beard lol) my idol. Keep kicking, Tom. 50 years and 50 more, don’t fuck it up!

    As a longtime volunteer at the Evergreen Jazz Festival, I’ve been in awe of these musicians for many years. Danny, if you need anything, let me know. Sonny, I hope we can cross paths in an airport again one of these days. Hugs, Jill. Thanks Keeper1st 👍🥰

    I've been practicing Russian for a while now. The accented "О́" in Очи is merely for understanding of stress. "Очи чёрные" is probably more correct.

      @@Keeper1st i have a question. Do you play ragtime with or without swing?

    • @Keeper1st
      @Keeper1st  2 года назад +2

      @@98voteforpedro Whichever way the music feels right to you! Some ragtime is notated in swing while others just feel like they need it, and others don't. In classic records a tiny bit of swing is common.

    Thinking of Tom everytime I see you upload! I just googled him and realised he doesn't have an English wiki page, but he does have a French one for some reason with info I absolutely didn't know :D

    • @Keeper1st
      @Keeper1st  2 года назад +3

      Every attempt at making an English one has gotten removed on the belief that it is a vanity page, even though you can find references to Tom on IMDB for the recordings used by Ken Burns, and other references to him. It didn't help that the person who tried to make the first page didn't actually know anything about Tom and just mentioned videos of him sight-reading, which certainly is not significant in the grander scheme of things.
