Love this. My first scindapsus didn’t get a new leaf for about two years! It’s now growing and putting out a new leaf once every few months. They grow very slowly it seems.
Awesomeee, good luck with them. If you see them start to wilt, consider tenting them to seal in humidity, and work your way down from there to acclimatize.
TBH, I kinda like your lengthy videos. It's full of information. But shorts are good as well. Looking forward to more "lengthy" plant care from you 💚🌿🌱
@@onlyplants well the one unfurled leaf i do have did arrive to me curled and has stayed that way. but the ones i've seen from other people aren't like that. i think maybe i gave it too much light so i moved it. i'm hoping the new leaf grows less curled. 🤞🤞
I'm definitely going to try propagating using your method. I have a strongly varigated scindapsus experiment on! love the plastic box idea too. Thank you.
Yeah I think the variegated scindapsus will become more vigorous and healthy as we propagate generations of them. But for now they require that special attention to propagate
Could you elaborate on the nature of variegation in this plant? Is it truly genetically based (ie a form of differential gene expression in response to the environment) rather than chimeric? If so I'm failing to understand the "evolutionary motivation" for the variegated color.
Im not qualified to talk about the science of variegation. But nearly all plants species and even hybrids will produce variegated (with no known survival benefit) aberrants from time to time. While some are rarer than others ,they can be found everywhere… in the wild, in propagation nurseries, and of course in TC labs.
My snake scale scindapsus haask is probably my most difficult. Every propagation died and the mother plant has to live in a terrarium for the humidity. I don't think it's meant to live in my home.
You are toxic my friend! Yesterday I watched your prop video for pileas and now I have chopped salad. I pray they make it. Now I’m looking at my scindapaus and she’s shaking in fear for her lil life. 😂
Before I watch this video, I bought p. exotica, p. silver Ann, p. argyraeus, treubii dark form and moonlight. What will I do right now 😎😂💚 Also me, put them in pon 🤫
Oh please keep making your long form videos!!!!!
Whoaaaa this has got me rethinking 😀
Maybe both?
I LOVE your long-form vids! I think lots of us do! @@onlyplants
Love your long videos. ❤️ I am not a fan of the shorts from any content creator.
I prefer these videos over shorts.
Hmmm… maybe I shall do both… maybe new species for long but repeated species in shorts 😀

Thank you for another great video🐸❤️🐸
Thank you for taking the time to write ❤️
I love every minute of your videos! I look forward to the shorts but please don't stop these progress videos🙏
❤❤❤I agree, please don't stop the progress videos, we appreciate you.❤❤❤
Thank youu. Those shorts are filmed with progress too! I started filming months ago and waiting for updates on them 😀
Yes, I agree too. I learn a lot with you on this kind of videos with the updates. I don’t know anyone else who give so good explanations 😊
Tellement intéressant de suivre la propagation de toutes ces plantes, merci Sean
😀😀
Hi Sean, love your long form videos. I was wondering where you have been lately. 😀🇨🇦
Thank you 😀❤️ I release 1-2 videos a week 😀 just been doing travelling tours more lately
❤ thank you for your time and effort to give us a full picture of the plants and their growth.
❤️❤️😀
Love how you always give us instant update. Thanks for sharing Sean!
Yayeee
Love this. My first scindapsus didn’t get a new leaf for about two years! It’s now growing and putting out a new leaf once every few months. They grow very slowly it seems.
They grow slowly at first but the rate becomes exponential usually. Give it good light and dont forget to fertilize
Great video! Just in time for me as I am importing some in a couple of weeks. Thank you

That is crazy, I'm so used to Scindapsus being practically bulletproof.
Yeah me too. I have so many in my collection that wont die
Hello, nice to meet you, I'm from Indonesia
Hello, Indonesia here too 😀
Keep doing what u doing
Thank youu
Back home working with your plants! I love and do that type of plants blooms? I'm a bloom plant lover lol. ❤🌵🌱🌿
TBH, I kinda like your lengthy videos. It's full of information. But shorts are good as well. Looking forward to more "lengthy" plant care from you 💚🌿🌱
Thank you ❤️ I will try to do some
Wow, you did amazing. I love these update videos
😀😀
Great stuff. It's good to see how a so-called "difficult" plant can still be managed with proper care and effort
Yeahhh plants do adapt to our living condition when given enough time to
i just got this scindapsus this month!!! i wasn't planning on keeping it but i fell in love!! ah so excited to watch the video.
Whoaaa thats cool. Wondering if yours is as limpy as mine at the end of the video. I think mine is slowly becoming adapted

Thank you for sharing info on this beautiful plant. Gorgeous plant. Have a great day
Thank you ❤️
I love long form care videos!
Whoaaaa Ill consider doing more
Nooooo 😢I love long video 😂
😀😀 maybe I’ll do both 😀
Thank you Sean for the very informative video. It is very helpful . Really enjoyed it.🥰
Thank you ❤️

What happened to the water propagated cuttings?
They all died 😵
My snake scale scindapsus haask is probably my most difficult. Every propagation died and the mother plant has to live in a terrarium for the humidity. I don't think it's meant to live in my home.
Slowly acclimatize it. Its possible 😀 each generation of propagation should be able to live outside the humidity better
their leaves will curl when they do not get enough water... needs watering. gd indication when to water tho
Curling on scindapsus can also be caused by overwatering. Only the person will know which is it. 😀
You are toxic my friend! Yesterday I watched your prop video for pileas and now I have chopped salad. I pray they make it. Now I’m looking at my scindapaus and she’s shaking in fear for her lil life. 😂
Keep it big.
Hahaha do itttt!
