great video...surprised you say you never use them locked. I have that Matco and its the reason I use it so much.

Great video man. Thank you for the video. Great collection of ratchets man. I love my snap on same one is my go to. Can’t wait to hear about the Mac.

Totally agree about the handles on the Snap-on. The old comfort grip was just about perfect, now the new one is too fat. My next ratchet might be a Mac Axis. If they work as good as they look, I can see why they're becoming the new hotness. I believe they've only been out for a few years, and the Mac ratchets from before were not great in my opinion. Looking forward to seeing what you think of the axis after some use.

Have the the mac 90 ratchet (same as proto 90) and its my favorite ratchet. Their flexhead locking is my favorite from all 3. Give it some time, the ratchet will become even smoother.

I've always preferred the smooth flex heads as opposed to the detent-ed and locking ones.

+2 on that. The detent non locking flex annoys the daylights out of me.

The snapon flex head is and has been my go to for years! I bought it when the 80 tooth was first released. I had a Mac previous to the snappy but it was no where as nice as the Mac you have. Cannot wait to see how the Mac stacks up to the competition!

The Mac Axis is my workhorse ratchet. I can put considerably more umph through it than I can the Matco ratchet. The Matco Ratchet especially for 3/8 and below, locking flex head is a phenomenal ratchet for low clearance. Half inch ratchet, I favor the Mac Axis because I am not as concerned about clearance when I use half inch. Mac and Matco are in my box, both brands, all three sizes.

Just from sound alone that Snap-On sounds sooooo smooth. I have the 100 tooth Swivel Head Snap-On and I'm thinking about getting a dual 80 12" one or whatever length it is.

Just bought Mac 3/8 ranchet 18 inch. Highly recommend it. It’s the newest one with the locking flex head. 90 tooth. Very good for everyday use.

You should do a video on it. I just picked up a Matco 15” 3/8 ratchet. I’d like to get another longer 3/8 ratchet and maybe the 18” MAC ratchet is a good option.

Got Snapon/Matco and MAC (prefer the MATCO as it is a lot slimmer/lighter gets in places with less access). The lever on the MATCO is recessed (wish Snapon would recess the lever and slim up the end). Don't care for the MAC ratchets to big/clunky. Handle on the Snapon is too wide as well (not sure) why? MATCO feels like the Craftsman the ones made in USA from the past (seems more confident) hard to explain.

Not too sure I can be wrong but I think 2019 was the last year of the old style soft grips for snap on, my 2019 ratchet has the slimmer style whereas my 2020 has the fatter grip which I kinda enjoy less but it is what it is
