Your maple leaf blocks turned out so beautiful and perfect. I’m so glad that I’m learning about how quilting is done even though I haven’t done any quilting at all. Love the technical terms and it’s fascinating to see the preparation. I always think that there’s a lot of mathematical calculations of patterns involved. Precision is key. Thank you, Sarah! Full support for you 12:18 😍😍😍
I have the slotted trimmer ruler I like it. I also like to have a little extra fabric to trim off when making half square triangles. Cute block great tutorial Sara thanks for sharing.
Your instructions are perfect! I have made the maple block before, but appliqued the stem on, I like your way so much better. I agree about the slotted trimmer, it is great!!! I also agree about having a little extra, better to waste a little, than to waste a lot be ause you messed up. Thank You for sharing your time, and your talent with all of us.
This tutorial at least for me is by far the best one I have seen. Right to the point and very thorough. I know these leaves are supposed to be simple to make but I struggled for two days trying to get seams to match, coming up short in places. So frustrating, I temporarily gave up multiple times. Your tip to go larger on some of the squares did the trick for me. Need that wriggle room. Thank you for a great tutorial. I have subscribed. 😊
Your block is beautiful!! and I agree the slotted ruler is the best way to trim a HST :) also is the cream colored fabric stonehenge ( hope I spelt it correctly )❤️
