- This is to all the miners of brownhills and surrounding areas,and to those who lost their life's in the Grove mining disaster bless every one of them.The statue of The Miner that stands in the Town of Brownhills stands 30 ft (9.1m) high to commemorate coal mining in the Brownhills area
Thanks for uploading this wonderful tribute. My Granddad was a miner and lived in Walsall Wood, he too died young. Also my Great Uncle was Jack Jigger Taylor.
Both of my grandfathers worked in the Brownhills colliery's....A great tribute....Well done!

like many other miners i worked at whitwick colliery . looking back best years of my life talk to any ex miner and theyd say the same brill vid and great song

there are three different mine's in this video, all have long long gone now, Walsall Wood colliery,, the Grove Pit which was situate Norton canes and brownhills and the third was just out of brownhills (Pool Lane).
all where in that time as working Pits in Stafford-shire area, but some now would have come under West Midlands unfortunately
