I love spoilers for vlogs like this! Especially when the book is that long 😅 The only time I’d rather not see spoilers is when you do book prize reading, bc those are my fave way to add books to my tbr
I am so down for the spoilers and a comprehensive review! Also, I would love your recommendations for similar books that are better if a book doesn't work out. That could be a fun little add on if someone wanted to keep reading in the same feeling, theme, world etc
Hi!! I totally agree with you about the writing being a bit rough and the plot getting repetitive, but I absolutely loved this book-it was the first fanfic I ever read! Hermione feels really different here, but I think it’s a believable direction for her character if she’d made different choices as a teen. She was brilliant in the books and everyone believed and encouraged her, but when nobody has her back she doesn’t have a lot of things to do. Just trying to survive alone. The changes in every character reflect the horror and brutality of the war so well. The ending left me with such a bittersweet feeling. They got their “happy ending,” but it’s not truly happy-no one even knows they’re the ones who ended the war. That adds such a sad layer to it.
It's true, I think I just missed a bit of her fire! I think I know now that these types of romances aren't for me, with the female character being too passive overall, and maybe I wanted even more drama too, haha
I have been so sceptical about all the hype around Manacled after finding out what it's about and this vlog has solidified it, thank you for sparing me having to read it to find out that I was right 😅
I mean Draco didn't have any consequences for doing evil things in the original books so probably this fan fiction is staying true to his character arc.
I started manacled because of the hype and I dropped out real fast - I knew I was NOT going to get on board with Draco as the love interest after his actions

Hi, please do not review fanfiction. I know that this fic has gained much attention and is being traditionally published, so that can make it difficult to know this, but fanfic needs to remain in fanfiction spaces for its protection. Fanfics are also not books, they are labors of love and made free for people in the fandom, and negative reviews are against good fanfiction conduct. Just something to keep in mind for the future. This is said with love and to educate, so I hope that you won't take offense.
@annalassila4634 you what mate?! I don't think you get to tell people what they can and can't review on their own channel! And if people put their work out into the world they are opening themselves up to be reviewed and criticised, that's how art works babes.
@jennifermead4420 I'm informing her on well-established fanfic etiquette, which I'm familiar with because I have been in those spaces for many years. It's up to her whether she heeds it.
@@jennifermead4420fanfic has faced enormous amount of censorship and lawsuits because people cannot heed the rules that are put in place to protect fanfiction. I inform because I love fanfic and want to protect it.
