I remember Vince even further back to his time at Armed Service TV. When he was at Channel 6 he would come across the street to the store I worked at. Always friendly and down to earth. Extremely talented and good at what he did. And he was surprised that our family remember his time at ASTV.
Vince Gibbens was one of my favorite anchors. I was so sad the day he died, it was such a shock to all of us. He will never be forgotten.

Good man. He was a black belt in kendo. I studied karate where he practiced. So young and healthy, that's why it was a shock when he died.
