Exactly. Shang is supposedly this strong sorcerer and his game plan is literally just throwing fireballs

@@TiandreJR2414Ye, To me, it seems like Shang right now is more of a scientist/alchemist than he is a sorcerer right now and Quan Chi is basically full on sorcery, using dark magic and necromancy. Hopefully Shang will be a sorcerer in the next game since he found the well of souls
Khameleon looks like she has multiple variations like Tremor, I saw she has different throws as well, I'm all for it! looks like she had a lot of ambush moves as well. Quan chi's animations are pretty nice as well.
Why is jade changing from kitana to jade? She goes from fans to the pole??? Wtf? She must be like tremor and have different modes.

If it’s anything like tremor then all her moves will be able to be ambushes. You’ll have to have that knowledge of which variation is next like tremor though
I imagine that Khameleon is going to have the gimmick of 2D arcade Chameleon where every 30sec or so she'll switch who she is from Kitana, Milenna & Jade. I'm so excited for her to show up. :)

Hopefully not 30 seconds, maybe like 15-20. 30 would take too long in this game.
@@josephtpg7329 I said 30sec purely as a place holder, the original MK3 chameleons would transform completely at random & I mean they could in theory keep that here in MK1 but I would prefer if it was a set duration just for consistency sake. :)

I think the kameo and Character release thing makes sense. Its less waiting a whole 1-2 months for new DLC and more like here's a new character then a new kameo 2-3 weeks later. Feels like you're getting DLC way more often and possibly 12 characters instead of 6.
This way of thinking is why gaming is so shit. Complacency is why these corporations think they can be lazy and drip feed content

The tentacle thing seems to be lovecraft inspired. I imagine Quan Chi made a pact with a high Netherrealm demon/god which happens to be a Cthulhu-esque

never been a Quan Chi fan over the years. But damn, that blew me away, I wanna play him now.
It looks like khameleon switches to the next variation automatically after you call her out & im honestly loving it🔥
Khameleon changes colors naturally and gets the special moves of the female ninja her color coincides with at the time. Unlike Tremor its not a manual change, she changes color over time automatically. At least that's how she used to play back in the day, I'm sure they're going to make her kameo do the same from this video.
She's also a reptile like Syzoth. In the original timeline I believe their species was endangered and she was trying to reproduce with Reptile to save their species. I'm talking off memory though so it may have been the other way around lol. Either way, I think lore-wise, she'll be a fun kameo to pair with Reptile.
That sounds really impractical in competitive scenarios and would make her a really bad kameo so i strongly doubt that'll be the case
@@Ultrqviolencee it'll make her more unique. From this video she doesn't seem to be manually changing, even in the same clip she comes out as one and a few seconds later she's another, even with the different grabs. I can't see any other way she'd play that way, but we'll see on release. I think it'd make her a bit more interesting personally.
It’s impractical if each special attack has different outcomes. If they’re the same but just different variations, it’ll work out fine.
@@kevinjohnson1669 its not impractical if you can see her color on her kameo image below the healthbar. I'm sure if they do it this way, you'll always be able to see what color she is on her icon so you know which attack to use.
@@KizerMoore Its not about which attacks you can use, its about which attacks you need to use. Every move on a kameo is crucial, not having access to 2/3rd's of khameleons moveset at all times is EXTREMELY inconvenient, the only reasonable possibility besides tremor's manual change is her moveset changing every time she uses a move, so that way you could cycle it yourself at the cost of kameo bar but it won't be as detrimental to her as a kameo as automatically cycling every 30 seconds at that. Maybe 10 seconds but 30? Hell no

Interested to see the fatal blow range and where it hits. Because it looks like it’s all 3, high, mid, and low. But at different distances. Also kinda hope Khameleon forward throw is just random between the edenians. The selection with tremor is cool but even still I find it sometimes a pain to have to remember.
My best guess for Khameleon is she will have 3 Variations, one for each of the 3 female ninjas ....one variation will have some Kitana sets, another one Jade Sets, and last one Mileena sets....thats my guess

Love the breakdown bro. I was sceptical of MK 1 leaning into this random unsafe on block but saved by Kameo bullshit but the more they do it, the more hype the gameplay seems to become.
If we can break free from the stale Lao/Stryker/Occasional 20 minute Sareena cutscene and buff more Kameo's I'm all for it.

It looks like Khameleon's moves ate mostly Ambush:
So far Konfirmed Ambush moves are:
Jade: Glow, Jade Glaives,
Mileena's: Air Sais,
Kintana: Fan Lift,
and I'll add more as i see them. Even with only those she is stronger than any other Kameo because she has a Ambush version of Sareena rangs that might even be Mids, Ambush Glow that may work better than Subs Ice Shield but has way more utility than Sub Kameo because Khameleon has so much utility, the fan lift gives you the ability to combo off stuff normally not possible and might give low damage chara hogh damage, its essentially a Fan Lift that jump cancels to remove recovery of your move wothout the meter required and high execution of kara jump cancel!
Only worry i have is how you switch between Jade, Mileena and Kitana moves! If it's random like UMK3 then then she is competitively garbage but if she has different inputs for all moves or she works similar to Trenors variation switch and doesn't cost full meter for ambush she is definitely a Top Tier Kameo!

Im predicting the chameleon does not have a stance switch. Instead you will see chameleon change color in her Icon and when you press the assist button, she will either do Jade, Kitana or Milena attacks base on what the color is.
She might just be on a rotation. You have to use one assist and it goes into the next female ninja. So you can't really change her aka variations. Otherwise it would be way too similar to tremor

Bro Khameleon could have been a sick character mixing kitana, meleena and jade BUT i get why she didn't make into the roster better as a Kameo and hopefully it works with reptile we all know that would be the perfect match! 😂

Purple glow might be better than subzero ability. As long as it doesn't break after 4 hits. For example Reiko can break subs projectiles immunity when meter burning. I hope she is just on a timer. Also the portal that looks like a low but hits you on the head, if that's an overhead I can already see the mix potential. Will probably be a high tho

I think the kameo length is due to the fact that they won't have a kameo.for.every dlc character to show off so they are trying to spread them out conservatively since there is 6 dlc main roster and 5 dlc kameo. There is still Janet cage, ferra, and Movado to be released.
Khameleon prolly works like Tremor. Where she switches moveset between Kitana, Mileena and Jade inapired moves
The main reason why the long period of time between quan chi and khameleon is because there is no playable character for january and i think peacemaker comes out early feburary
