Plot twist: The "players" you encountered were really the three remaining engineers responsible for the game. They saw someone was logged in, couldn't believe it, and had to log in to see for themselves. Figured they'd do anything they could to help that lonely player have a good experience while they were there.

Big ball god gives superpowers and is sleeping but anything good has an enemy and due to a recent conflict humanity is piled up in the last safe city. All they had to do was add lore to the already existing race factions and build the story to inevitably have the player fighting this ancient enemy. Gameplay wise, it was not overwhelming, it was simple yet satisfying. Later on afding more challenging content that contain tightly timed puzzles known as raids. Fallout has been a disaster since it was taken over, because Bethesda must be one of the laziest companies in gaming. They just release extremely buggy games, sit back to let the dedicated fans patch all the bugs and then gather those patches and release it as a Bethesda "update" of the game.
Destiny, I think enough has been said about that, especially when they totally screwed over the remaining fans by releasing Destiny 2 instead of keeping their word and adding to the original.

I tried the open demo before the game launched and confirmed to myself that it was not a game for me. It was clearly trying to be Destiny with flying mechanics, and I was not here for it. I find the Destiny style of mission structure and storytelling bland, vague, and extremely uninteresting, and I could see it all over Anthem. And my experience wasn't helped by the sound completely cutting out about 10 minutes into my game session and staying that way for the rest of it.

I believe, since anthem two has not yet been announced, or may not even be planned to be announced, I think BioWare is in a state right now where they can prove themselves. If dragon age 4, and the new Mass Effect are done well and garner the respect of their fan base and, bring back some of their original players. I think an anthem two announcement could definitely get players excited for it. But that’s only if their next installments prove to be opposite of what their business model has been recently. Now with that said, if these next two big budget releases are not up to par, then I would agree nobody would be excited for anthem two, or probably any other title revealed by BioWare in that matter.

I guess my biggest criticism is that every time you go out in a mission it is the exact same thing, very very predictable. You go to a point, then you have to go to another point, then you have to go to a third point, then in the forth or fifth point you get your final battle and go home. With such an open world, it is a shame that one doesn't get to do exploration, race against time, clue finding or even going back and forth between locations you've been once in a map to bring back something... It definitely feels like they've run out of creativity and released the most bland possible version of what this game could have been.

I appreciate how often you revisit games to give them another shot. It seems nowadays you seldom can get excited for a game until 6 months after it’s been released.
It’s so difficult to make an opinion when all reviews and chatter was only for when it was initially released.
    Good shit Luke

I bought Anthem for 10 bucks at a Gamestop located in some Mall while I was visiting my girlfriend back in college. The dude behind the counter literally begged me not to buy it (I thought bruh was willing to fight me with how adamant he was about not wanting me to leave the store with that game lmao). For 10$ I got my enjoyments worth out of it, and I also use the game case to this day to roll weed on so it was good for something I suppose

One of the few great things about this game is its soundtrack - I can't even express how amazing Anthem's music is. Seriously, guys, check it out and give it a go. Sarah Schachner did a stellar job of creating sort of ancient / futuristic / alien / still recognisable take on gaming soundtrack and it really gives you the glimpse of what Anthem really should have been. I listen to it while driving almost every day or two.

If they allowed them to do that massive update on this game it would still be around and most likely thriving.

There’s a few games that I already know to be trash, but every now n then I’ll see a Screenshot or ad for a new update that almost gets me. There’s too many game that aesthetically look good but are garbage🤣🤦🏾‍♂️

I played the beta and it crashed on the first mission. I thought to myself, "...and now I never have to play this game again."

I meeeeaaan. In fairness, if you were playing a beta, crashes and bugs are expected, it's a beta, did you report the crash or just give up? Lol

@@thetrashcanman7537 No, but that's the idea of an open beta, especially when you opt in to play it. Are you new to gaming?
