I've always been in such a negative space, but I m going through a break up and I feel like I woke up from sleeping for so long. I listen to this song now after about a week of crying and self pity and self reflection. I realized I was listening to it wrong, I was interpreting in a way that only saw the negatives. In fact it's a song about growth in my opinion. It's about finding a place for yourself and being present in the moment. It's about enjoying it. I dunno, it's interesting how things change so fast...

I though I’d never find myself, love, or even forgiveness and I’ve received it all ten fold with perseverance and steadfastness! I really needed to work on my character “where do I fit in?” Those lyrics fit so well. 🤘🏼

I discovered these guys too late. I would've loved to see them live! Anyway, thanks for expressing emotions in such a poetic way. This song in particular definitely captivated my journey from being an exiled nobody from my own family in Mexico to someone comfortable in my own skin here in America. I'm the first in my family to complete college and I'm on my way to be a counselor. I really found my place, and I'm strong enough to want to understand others and their difficult journeys.
