My uncle worked at the mill you showed in town and by the water tower before the fire works we would have a pie auction for to help for the next fire works or wherever it need help and the pies would go over 100 bucks each pie
Lived in this town as a child for years. My family built a farmhouse there in 1890 and is still owned by family today. So much heart in this small town. While it has become somewhat run down in parts, the wonderful people remain. There is a bar, restaurant, post office, bank, a park, school, outdoor skating rink, a great 4th of July celebration, bike path, the Raccoon River, and some of the best people you could meet.
