- This year, Lucasfilm hosted a most impressive display showcasing the evolution of the Star Wars stormtrooper. The exhibit included several of the screen-used costumes seen throughout the iconic movie series. From the classic stormtrooper to new designs featured in the upcoming Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, this stunning display examined the production costumes up close and studied the many unique styles deployed throughout a galaxy far, far away.

Stormtrooper helmets were individually fitted to the wearer, that's why other people can't see through them.
Iwan Kramer they also had biometrics. If it wasnt your helmet you couldn’t use any of the sensors and what not

Clone troopers could take on Stormtroopers any day. Even with The First Order Troopers on their side. Clones were basically commandoes compared to the other troopers.
I mean, that's like comparing a Greek Spartan with a modern enlistee. Clones are literally bred and raised from the moment they're born for one purpose: combat. Stormtroopers (for the most part) are conscripted men and women; adults. Yes, they're put through training but it isn't nearly as intense as the clones' and there isn't as big of a need to focus on combat efficacy. The Empire rules through fear; If you're successful in keeping the people afraid, they'll never question your abilities to keep them in check. If not, you have specialized stormtroopers and imperial units to crush them back to dust.

So the clones had more unique and self identifying helmets while stormtroopers removed colors to make them more identical.

Fun fact, that part where "Luke Skywalker" says he can't see a thing in his helmet wasn't scripted. Mark Hamill just thought the cameras had stopped rolling. Can thank the costuming department for that one!
Same with the “I am your father moment” in ep 5. That was actually Mark Hamill’s dad in that suit! Cinema magic as Scorsese would say
When the radar dish on the Falcon fell off in RotJ it was actually a work crew of ILM who got the jitters and accidentally stood up a few meters while holding the Millenium Falcon on the stick while it was flying through the tunnel!

The ones from SWTOR were mostly black with shades of dark gray and red streaks and quite Vader-like. Imagine if the ones from this movie were black with dark red streaks, that would've been better

By end of revenge they are know basically as stormtroopers in the reorganisation. Phantom menace is the only film without the iconic troopers. The purpose of attack of the clones and it’s kamino story is supposed to show the viewer the origin of the stormtrooper and how they came to be. All there trilogy’s troopers differ, prequels they are clones, originals they are recruits merging and replacing clones and then sequels they are taken from birth.
@Sailor on the Seas of Fate they're still stormtroopers, they just evolved. Yet they can't seem to understand that making a tank is way more effective and efficient than using a armour vehicle with a high center of gravity.

@Luki 5064. I think you mean Clone Troopers are the "prototype" of Stormtroopers. Clones were superior, Stormtroopers were less effective, but their armor came from the Phase 2 Clone armor design.
@@ttm9514 Not necessarily. The stormtroopers weren't cloned for the most part and the ones that were, the 501st, mostly died from accelerated aging by episode IV
