@@CodeAstro I did use sha1 and I was able to hash. I placed it as $hash=sha1($client_password) and also changed it in the select database query of both client_registered and customer_registered pages. The problem is now if I register a new user with a password I can't login with the same password

You have to hash the login details on the register page as well!
