Garjiya Devi Temple is located in the Garjiya village near Ramnagar, Uttarakhand, India, on the outskirts of the Corbett National Park. It is a sacred Shakti shrine where Garjiya Devi is the presiding deity. The temple is situated over a large rock in the Kosi River and is one of the most famous temples of the Nainital district, visited by thousands of devotees during Kartik Poornima.
Legends belive that Garjiya Devi is the incarnation of Goddess Parwati, daughter of King of the Mountains Himalaya also known as Giriraj.
Upon entering the temple that is naturally surrounded by the Kosi River, all you will see around are shops selling flowers and other essentials for worshipping the gods.
Nainital is about 75 kilometres away from here and Ramnagar is at a distance of 15 kilometres.
Ramnagar is the nearest railway station to Garjiya Devi Temple.
