Every time I get a build up of things to do, I try to do more and seem to get less done :( But I am sure lots of people experience this too. But I just try not to let it bother me, and focus on the most important things first :)

Sounds like the drive got corrupted somehow by an incomplete shutdown. Try plugging it into another PC by SATA and see if it can be read there to recover your data, and then format all the partitions and reinstall Windows. As for Power Director, email the support team. Their website is useless but the customer service guys aren't bad. Finally, it doesn't help you now but might help you in future, back ups are everything. If you don't want to do it manually, programs like Backblaze are very good.
