Since figuring out how the blue wire works I added diodes between the orange and yellow wires connected to the blue wire. Now the unit only lights up when the signals are on. Perfect!
Thank you so much for this video. I had everything working fine but the red led on the switch unit would NOT STOP FLASHING!! I disconnected the blue wire and now it works properly!!
I wanted to make my hazards on my quarter panels of my 81 Monte Carlo flash with the turn signals but when electricity hit them it lit up the whole car with hazards...
I have this switch assembly in a vw dune buggy and everything thing works however the indicator light on the switch alternates blinks with the actual blinker. Is this normal? If not, do you have any suggestions on how to fix it.
