- World's Most Dangerous Roads: Deadliest Journeys in Myanmar in 2018
Deadliest Roads - Benin: • Deadliest Roads | Beni...
In this acclaimed series, we journey on some of the world’s most dangerous routes and explore the lengths people go to in order to change their destinies.
In North-West Myanmar, in the most mountainous region of the country, moving around is an adventure. Travelling in his truck, Khampi faces the dangerous roads - or rather the tracks - with courage and calm. The state of the roads is a serious handicap for the people, but it has allowed the country to preserve its beauty, its authenticity and its traditions. Young Sokna is carrying on an ancient ritual: the kiss of death. Legend has it that by kissing the head of a Royal Cobra three times, the village women will quickly fall pregnant. A journey into the heart of Myanmar, far from the tourist tracks.

We are In Myanmar 🇲🇲 today
What do you know about Myanmar? When I hear this country’s name, I think Asia, Southeast Asia to be more precise, minorities, and Aung San Sun Kyi, the PM Of Myanmar who hasn’t been doIng anything to defend the minorities being persecuted ie lots of human rights violations. Nothing to see here was her MO. And to think she won the Nobel Peace Prize.
I know I know. It’s TGIF - and we want the appropriate entertainment.
Don’t worry - this doc isn’t about politics but you should have an idea of what goes on in the world. I suggest reading the Wiki page or similar for starters if the region interests you beyond the beautiful countryside.
Our doc takes us across magnificent landscapes, traveling on some of Myanmar’s scarier roads especially during Monsoon season.
We follow Ko So Moe, a tour guide, who travels across the country formerly known as Burma to find the best places to see. It’s his first time as well. He wishes to open a new tourist trail, connecting Mandalay, the big city to the Rih Dil lake.
Enjoy!

This kind of Documentary is much better than movies.
We agree. Well, okay. SOME movies are good. 🍿
IMO all docs are better than movies, especially nowadays.
I agree
@@FreeDocumentary You have some of the best documentaries ever
Bro, I believe your documentaries are real world stories, but, movies are just made to make money; and actors and actresses are acting for money too. So, they are fake. I know some how you make money too through you tube. but when I’m watching your documentaries I feel this are real.
What i learned:
-smile even in the worst situations
-anger just make things worse
-be resoursfull and creative
-help without waiting for exchange
-teamwork always work

-help even you also need help

Helping others without expectating anything in return is called Tlawmngaihna in the Lushai language of Mizoram. We share close racial affinity with the burmese but we live in Northeast India.
You nail it....
"I trust my friends and i know that they will help me to get out of this. That's why we are laughing, we are glad to face our problems together". Wonderful!
I’ve watched so many documentaries of different cultures, roads, lifestyle, etc., but this one stood out to me. It’s the first time I’ve seen people so naturally helpful towards each other, they seem to have sincere concern for one another and their positive mindset is inspiring. Thinking about the current situation there is heartbreaking and I hope things will get better there soon.
Hii
Hello
It is indeed the best video I have seen about the theme. I always said that power that keeps us moving is universal, you will find that anywhere on the planet. Apparently, some people found it first than others. They might as well watch it and add a new way to see things.
I'm a truck driver in the US and it's amazing what these guys do.

These journalists are so brave. Riding in those trucks must be scary.
Exciting another way to look at it :)
Very appreciated . So that we can to know whats happened on that isolated area.
I wonder what kind of vehicle they are driving?
Such kind of documentaries have a way of making me feel blessed with the little i have. Keep up the great work you guys do to make us go places without leaving our homes.
True
Yes, I know just what you mean, man you said a lot! There are many people with food to spare, two and three cars, a house full of clothes, money in the bank that they could ever spend, children are well fed and educated, no problems with medical and dental care, heat in the winter and cool air conditioning in the summer, indoors hot and cold running water, showers and bathtubs with perfumed soap. And yet some got the nerve to complain...some won't even raise their hands nor their voice in Thanksgiving to God, even though there's a global pandemic..shear ungrateful!!!
Ai
damn.. this documentaries are very addictive
You are very right

It's not the roads nor journeys I am focusing on. It's the drivers, operators, conductors, captains that all inspire me! So the title 'World's best/bravest drivers' would fit more. They can be anyone 's role model. Thank you for showing us the true beauty of humanity!
Lovely comment. And I agree. Thank you so much 🙏 these people are indeed inspiring.
Ah ah ah. For the cow, the end of the journey truly marks the end of life. The narrator's sense of rhetoric is just priceless.
Keep smiling Myanmar, better days are coming.

The positivity in this video is amazing. I have learned alot from these documentaries. Inspiring brave people from all over the world. Best documentary channel hands down!
I'M "HOOKED"!!! This is the absolute BEST channel on RUclips. As one that enjoys travelling, but hates commercial airline flying AND hotels, THIS can become addicting. I guess one way to make it REAL is choosing on one of these CRAZY places and GO. Now, off to Myanmar for a "virtual" journey.
Wow,breathtaking! This is not a show, or a hollywood movie, this is real life, real danger!

Hi FD team. Im from Myanmar. I used to stay at regions like this. We used to have leaders who become Millionares while the country become poor and poor. Hopefully this existing govermient doesnt follow their way and become selfish. Watching here from Philippines, i could say we are fortunate from our neighboring sea nation. I Love the positivity of your drivers we are the same too.
Even so his vehicle looks outdated ,its probably very suited to these situations . I bet many modern offroad vehicles wouldn't even make it that far .
I think simplicity of these old trucks and availability of parts to repair them are contributing factors. Parts and electronics on new trucks are too expensive for that region.
Of course
@@midnightsunturbo For ANY region with those roads really. Even for someone making good money in US - if you have to drive on THOSE roads, breaking of the truck is guaranteed. And often.
So no matter how much money you make - if you have to drop 5000 every month for parts on new trucks, you won't be able to keep up.
The simplicity combined with the ease of finding cheap parts - that's what you want in those type of conditions. Cause then even you can repair if something happens. Good luck with repairing modern trucks yourself though :)
I mean even in Australia, people living well still use old jeeps in the more remote parts.
no matter what your truck is old or brand new, the road conditions on that region is guaranteed to ruin the truck within a month.
so it is better to have Older Model Trucks or a Frankenstein Truck like Mr.Kosam's because it is very easy to repair and parts are cheap and interchangeable.
Those old willys jeeps were made tuff. At least I think those are willys.
I really learn a lot from that old truck driver, what a great and sincere man he is. May you all people be an example for all of us.
Chevrolet should just hire this dude to design its next fleet of trucks.
In philippines ford hired filipino to make ford fierra ford version of jeepney
Yes true he must he hired
They're not that smart
Too arrogant
This is actually a Canadian Military Pattern (CMP) truck dating back to WWII. They were designed by a consortium made up of GM Canada and Ford Canada, and were built in Ford and Chevrolet plants both located in Oshawa, Ontario. More than half a million were made during the war and equipped most allied forces. Many have survived, but Myanmar may be the last place where they still earn their keep
I get an adrenaline rush when I see an ad for one of videos, then realize it's one that I haven't seen. I love these. Thank you to all who work so hard to produce these videos, and to the internationals who share their lives with us. Your stories are fascinating.

The truck driver has inspired me a lot, there's no point of getting angry, there's no reason of being annoyed with someone or something always put on a smile no matter how tough the situation is, it surely eases the problem.❤❤❤
The driver has a brilliant idea to relieve anger, struggle, stress at his work as a driver in the difficult situation he face.
Yes true, now I I learnt newly, whenever we face difficulties in our life, never humiliate, sad, we have to face the difficulty with laugh... as the driver commented...
"Laughter is the best medicine", Holy Bible! Laughter will cure depression & keep One from going insane. T.M. -1+0^0/2+1.
23 years ago or more, the road going to my parent's hometown was in the same situation as the people in Myanmar had in this documentary. An adventurous and dangerous journey of 104.9 km. Fortunately the national government was able to notice one of our local news by creating a media content that was also retrieved by one of the national media in the late 1990's. In 1999 the road construction begun where my father was an engineer too and relief came after a few years of constant construction. I can feel how the people in this documentary have while travelling in this condition. This is really a kind of journey with uncertainty, but I hope that the people in Myanmar would reach their peak where they will be blessed with a kind government that would help them with infrastructure rise and develop together with the rest of the South and Southeast Asia.
I love these doc so informative, the narrator makes it even more interesting to watch . Thanks for the videos.
