Hello Sir Grimith. While watching this series I constantly remember a game I saw you play once which name I cannot recall. The game was a 2D Total War, with nice roleplaying modeling (really similar to this game in character models and map appearance), but just manga-like, if all this makes any sense. You had your troops and each troop had it's commanders, with nice stats/skills/things to make them special. The battles were like "auto", where every unit was managed by the IA, I think. It was glorious to watch. God, I wish I knew the name...
