just done this ride the other way from Waterloo up to Hampstead Heath and back. Very straightforward route, quiet and helpful. Not been from Tooting to Hampstead before
I didn't know Waterloo Bridge had protected cycle paths! I cycled from Euston to Waterloo today but used C6 to cross the river. Next time I'll take the direct route!
@@Londoncycleroutes Also don't know whether the Waterloo roundabout safe junction is still going ahead due to TfL's finance. The roundabout around IMAX is too dangerous
looks like it has cycle tracks in the design on both sides of Waterloo Road all the way down to the station entrance, so I'd definitely go that way if they do it
The Camden borough has the best cycling infastructure from what I can tell. You do get the sense that they are making it up as they go along though and the end result is both confusing and a little dangerous. I sometimes find it safer to brave the main roads than figure out how to navigate some of these cycle paths.
route ill like to see. Chiswick high street to victoria park east London. and also Chiswick roundabout to Greenwich. I regularly ride to east London so would be great to see if you have different ways to go and also always wanted to ride to Greenwich
Thanks so much for these videos! You obviously put a lot hard work into these and they’re really helpful! Is there any route of Walthamstow to Hampstead Heath (or nearby area that can be modified) in the works? Cheers!
@@Londoncycleroutes I’m actually looking towards the direction of the bit closest to Royal Free Hospital (as looking to use this as a commuting route)? Thanks so much for considering this!
@@cnicole6277 great! I've got an idea of how to do it but there are a couple of changes that'll make it a lot easier coming later this year (rebuild of Lea Bridge Road roundabout, and hopefully a new LTN in Islington along the route). will do a video as soon as they are sorted. also, thanks for working at a great hospital!
I know that route well! Anyway, I had to go to Hammersmith yesterday and Komoot took me through the worst roads! Good thing it was Xmas day, but there was still a bit of traffic!Guess I should get Premium; that's annoying. Anyway, a route Clapham Common Hammersmith would be great! Or Clapham Common - Shepherds Bush..?
I've done Barons Court to Battersea Park recently (I know its not Hammersmith/Clapham Common but I feel it may be part of the same route). I used Citimapper and selected the Quiet route option and I must say I didn't spend much time on busy main roads, was mostly back streets, especially around Earls Court/Brompton/Chelsea[ish] way
@@Londoncycleroutes not really I just go round there on my bike a lot, if you don’t mind I live near Mile End park and my school is at Clapham junction and from January I will be bike riding to and from my school so is it possible for you to do a video going from Mile End to Clapham junction or is that to far for your liking?
The cycle track on Waterloo Bridge has really really narrow barriers. I saw someone barely squeeze through with a pair of panniers, and I was rubbing against the barrier on 44cm bars! Not great design.

Really pleased to hear this, thanks for letting me know! Glad it came in handy
I'd love to see a video incorporating C9 around Hammersmith if it's possible :)
I’m planning to when they reopen the stretch that’s currently closed! Probably around March
Seems like a good ride.

They’re really good! I hope they become permanent

Some more standardisation would definitely be a good idea

That would be good - Kensington high street is a problem and difficult to route around but am always looking for new ways!

I’ll see what I can do, should be possible - which sort of side of the heath would be most useful for you?

Is it those black security barriers? I wonder if they can widen it
