Oh my gosh, same here. Proves we are never too old to learn something new. This is a game changer for me. Lolol
Amazing burrito Method
I love this lady she explains everything so well.
Sue Carrington, Thank you so much for watching! 😍 I am so glad you enjoyed it! ❤️
This is the only tutorial that made sense to me! Thank you!
Wow!!!! I also have been sewing for 55 years. It's great to learn something new from you. Keep on showing us these awesome techniques. Thanks
Well done. Old dog learned a new trick!!
Thank you for showing how to use the burrito method. You made it look easy.
Thanks, Beth! I hope it helped.
Thats very smart to have two serger machines with light and dark thread. Saves a lot of time.
So easy when you know how! Thank you xx
This is a great method and your explanation is on point. Thank you
OMG that's the best video for burrito sewing technique.
LOVE that, you make it look so easy
I make scrunchies this way with short sides stitched together then long sides together like this going over the middle and pull through as I sew. This is great to know to do it on sleeveless tops. Thank you for this great video.
I've always avoided this kind of top because I could never make sense of the usual instructions. You made it understandable and easy.
Excellent tutorial very well explained.
I have been sewing for 50 plus years and I learn something new every day.
Thank you
You make it look so easy......I love the look of the finished product
Burrito Method - Wow! That is so cool! Thank you for sharing!
Hi Wendy! You're welcome! glad you liked it!
I LOVE how encouraging you are!!! I’ve tried new things after watching your videos!
I’ve watched some of your lives from Olga’s closet, I’m so glad I found this RUclips channel. This helped me understand so much better, can’t wait to try it out.
I am so glad it was helpful!! Thanks for watching!
Definitely helped to wrap my head around the method. Thank you.
Great method...will try it on my next project. I love your patterns especially for my great nieces. They love their "twirly" dresses!
Wonderful! Thank you so much!
You’re the best! Been trying to figure this out and you’re the one to nail it.
I am so glad it helped! Thanks for watching!
I agree it would be nice to see how the bottom gets finished
I learned the ‘burrito’ method making pillowcases. Thx for the video! 👍🏻
How cool! You're welcome!
Thank you! A nice short informative video that is just what I needed for my next project.
This is amazing! I’ve been so afraid to try garments! I can do this! Thanks for sharing your talents. You make it look so easy.

You are so welcome
OMG, this is spectacular. I already make the burrito or magic pillow cases. I have a reversible dress I paid a lot for and have been wondering if I could make one myself. You're an awesome teacher.
Wonderful! I’m so glad it helped! Thanks 😊
Wow this burrito trick was amazing. I started watching all you videos. Thank you!
just starting to get back into sewing for myself after several years. Glad to see it's not "Old Fashioned" to sew for yourself
This is such an excellent tutorial! The best I've seen on this subject. Thank you!!!
Glad it was helpful!
I love this method. It gives such a nice, clean look to sleeveless tops.
Love this video. I have done pillow cases with the burrito method but never thought it would work for clothing. Thank you!❤️
Can you recommend a tutorial for the pillowcase, please ?
I love it when you can see how easy it is to sew it up and give tips to help. I can then decide if I would love to buy it or not. Thank you so very much
Outstanding. Thank You so much. Looking forward to viewing the binding video, another one of my nemisis.
I love your videos, especially the grow with me pj’s for kids!
Good grief!! I may actually make that lined dress I've been putting off!! This is brilliant! And I thought this method was awesome when I make pillow cases, but this is next level brilliance!
I just revisited this video as my current sewing project required this method. Thank you so much for making this such an easy process! This has been the best burrito method explanatory video I have seen. All the best.
Glad it was helpful!
That was so easy to understand! Wow 👏 😮 👏 THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SHARING!😁
You’re welcome 😉
Thank you for sharing techniques...much appreciated!
Thank you for making this video....I will keep this for reference.
Thank you for all the instructional videos
Thank you so much for this video! I couldn’t for the life of me figure out how to do the burrito method. Now I’m super excited to try it. This is just the 2nd video of yours that I’ve seen. I didn’t know that Ellie & Mac had videos until yesterday when I came across the 1st one and I subscribed immediately. I think it’s a brilliant idea for you to make videos for your pattern. It saves a lot of money to be able to watch the videos instead of having to print the directions plus it’s much easier for me to watch a video instead of reading the directions. I also think that you will sell many more patterns this way because we can see how easy these patterns are to sew and also get some ideas based on the fabrics you have chosen. Ty so much!
I am so glad this video helped!! I hope you are now confident in your burrito method sewing! Thanks so much!
Thank you for this video! You make the process look very straight forward and I'm going to try this method using your clear instructions.😀
Of course! Thank you!
I’ve been trying to do this for swimwear tops. I would have liked to see how to finish the bottom part though, I’m still trying to figure it out!
Super easy! Thanks for this clear demo!
You’re welcome 😉
OMG THANK YOU, THANK YOU? THANK YOU FOR THIS TUTORIAL. I havd just sat here for the last 2hrs trying to read pretty poor instructions on how to do arm holes on a worn tank that had facing and have seam ripped a woven tank more times then I can count and came across your tutorial and was able to finish my top in 10mins ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
You're welcome! Glad it was so helpful!
I love how you make things so easy!
Thank you so much 😊
Thanks to your video, it finally clicked. The burrito method is now more than a tasty meal. It’s a sewing technique that’s no longer hard to understand. Thank you
You make this easy with your instructions. Love ❤️

I can’t thank you enough for this video. I was about to toss my project trying to follow another video instruction but I decide to search one more and you came up. You saved the day and my daughter dress. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
Best visual of this method ever. Thanks Diana!
Great tutorial on how to sew using the burrito method 😀
Thanks!
Thank you for sharing the burrito method. I've been sewing for years and have never heard of this method! It is definitely a neater look for sleeveless tops and dresses. I love your vlogs and look forward to future short takes like this one. There is always something new to learn even for us long time sewists.
You made it so clear. I need to see how it's done before I make it. Very visual learner. Your video once again helped me understand.
Thank you so much!!!
Doesn’t look like it should work; but it does!! Great tutorial!
That is such a helpful tip. Thank you for sharing . Blessings 🥰
Just found you and I really like your burrito method. Reminds me of a pillow case I sew.
I am a new subscriber . Right now. Today. I have just seen Ellie and Mac for the first time!

You make it so much fun. I tried it and it is so, so easy.
I’m so glad to hear that!
I’ve made pillowcases using the burrito method, but never thought to do a sleeveless blouse. Ingenious!
Yes!
I recommend your patterns to a lot of my Joann customers ❤️
Thank you SO much! 😊 That means a lot!
Great technique. Easy once you see it done.
I am so glad it helped! Thanks for watching!
OMG, so glad you did this video! I learned this technique years ago in design school. We used it to make a yoke on a men's dress shirt. There was so much more fabric that had to be rolled up and then fed back through the small opening, so it was a bit tricky. I was thinking about it the other day because it has quite a few applications for doubled fabric but I couldn't remember how to do it. Your video made it easy. Thank you!
Who’d a thunk it!!! That was so easy ..thank you for showing us that!
❤❤❤ I’ve made a a bunch of pillowcases using the burrito method, so I get what you are saying. Plus your verbal instructions and great close up views make it easy to follow. Think I’ll be ordering the pattern for the top you’re wearing. I love the play of the black and white fabrics. You should include it in the photos on your website featuring this pattern. I see your channel has been going at least three years since that’s when you first posted this video. I’m just glad I saw it today. Continued good luck with your channel and your business. Hope 2024 is a stellar year for you.😊
Thank you so much for all of your kind words!
GREAT METHOD! Thanks for sharing!!
You are so welcome!
Wow! What a great lesson. Thank you!
You're welcome!
Superb, easy to follow. Delighted it worked wonderfully. You are a star
Thank you for making videos of various patterns and this one especially. The burrito method is great.
Love your videos. Your personality is very natural and down to earth.
Great tutorial! You made it very clear and understandable. Thank you!
You're very welcome!
Really well explained. Thank you I shall have a go!
Awesome, thanks for sharing this, I love this!
❤️❤️ I’m so glad you enjoyed it!
Wow I’ve watched a few of these but you made that so easy to understand
I’m so glad
What a great trick! I would never have gotten this without the tutorial! Thank you!!
That is a wonderful technique! Thanks for sharing
I’ve been wondering how to do this for so long!!!! Thank you
Happy to help!
That was by far the easiest method I’ve seen and the timing is perfect. I’m making a sleeveless top with a yoke and I decided to line the yoke because I don’t like turning under the neck edge or armholes. Thanks for the video-the length was perfect and you’re really good at explaining what you’re doing. Can’t wait to make a burrito!!
I am so glad it was helpful!
