I just played this tonight for the first time. I don't care for word games but my wife does. We both like deduction games and she does the Wordle and a half dozen spinoffs daily. Since she is the world game lover she was the guesser. We played without the timer to see how it would go before we add that pressure. Halfway through she said "this is not fun". I started pulling punches and she did figure out the word on guess 8. I didn't like it because she was not having fun. And I was more of a GM than actually trying to win. We swapped roles and played again and it went slightly better but I doubt this will get another play. On paper she should have loved this game, in practice it flopped. When I rated it on BGG I left a comment that maybe it needed more players so you could have some banter. Then I watched this and unfortunately you say 2 is best.
Thanks for your response! I'm sorry it didn't work for you two: I can see how they want this game to play up to 8, but I worry that with so many guessers, one person will "alpha" game and some might not feel included or heard.
Very interesting. I like the pun on librarian. The deck looks really cool and I agree that the book titles are super fun.

We love a game where lying is built into the rules
