Accurate depiction of customers 😂😂 Now tell about the crazy ones.. Here ill go first... I got shot delivering newspapers not even 2 months ago by the subscriber's neighbor. 💁other than that i had really great tipping customers. And the holiday presents 😍😍 yesss! In all actuality we work maybe at the most 35 hrs a week and we deliver super early hours like 1am to 6am. Ive been pulled over by troopers, sheriff, and city police lol they usually give u a warning & then u pay for their patty melt next time u see them at Whataburger. I drive both sides of the road, delivering or ...not. 😂 i grew up in the country, there are no lanes.
Yea... you had me beat at getting shot lol. I had my share of krazies but mostly just them talking out their necks. But everything else I can just about agree on. I miss the holiday tips and treats, cops weren't too bad. I've actually had to make some calls to them cause of accidents and damaged trees blocking backroads... mostly because of the early hours and I'm usually first to run into the dilemmas. I also live in a small town, driving on both sides of the road was nice when practically having the town all to myself. But being in the Midwest, snow suck cause we're usually out there before the plows come out lol
Hahaha yes and no??? Depending on how well you kno the area I guess. Where I used to deliver, the town is pretty small and the really early hours of the morning, I pretty much had the roads to myself. But I will suggest to park on the CORRECT side of the road if you have to get out your car. Some patrol officers frown upon parking on the wrong side (even he it's for "a second") but better safe than sorry as well!!!!!
@@spacekadetentertainment I do know the area and have my houses memorized. Little to no traffic, usually finish by 4:30am . My reasoning is if I break traffic rules and it helps me finish as early as possible, I'll be finished by the time daylight comes for anyone to spot me anyway. I do not like it, but it's what I've been doing. Breaking the law to actually prevent breaking the law. I mean who really can say they do it differently? That's how they train 'em in my warehouse, at least.
@@unrequitedpipe yeah pretty much depends on how you were trained as well. Other times, they'll just hand you a list of names/addresses and send you on your way 🤦🏾♂️😂
I find myself driving down the middle of neighborhood roads, crossing center lines, or even parking at the left curb, during the night because I have papers on both sides of the street. Especially true on early sundays. If I were to only drive legally, on the right side of the road, and only make right hand deliveries, it would double my hours worked, my mileage, and increase gas costs (without changing pay). Its almost been a year now since Ive been delivering and I'm still always worrying that I'm gonna get pulled over one day for it. And possibly for using and being in possession of those (unspecified) mail bins for papers. If anyone has any driving tips on road rules, I'm all ears. Dont know any other way to do it, but to break the rules of the road (as safely as I can). I see cops all night, but only on main city streets, not much on neighborhood streets, but they have shown up there on occasion as well.
One thing that could help, if you already don't have it, is to purchase a blinker light for top of your car. That can sort of identify you as a service worker on the road.
No I do not. When I first started the money was sweet. But after they did away with the big paying routes, customers switching to online and older customers cancelling or passing away... ended up paying more in gas and tire repairs than the job was worth.
Hahaha you caught that. And thank you 😊 The cookie scene was actually a last minute idea. This actually had a much darker (and humorous) but after Last Resort, I really needed something lighter... can't go wrong with cookies 😂
Depends. Don't always delivered to boxes or porches. Sometimes I'd drop off at entrance ways and store counters. But I have had person interactions with many customers. Some I still interact with to this day
Question please. When u r new and doing this prob at night , do you need to goggle the address or does it tells u where to go from ur first delivery. I fins this to be the most harder thing to accomplish as when been new and not knowing the addresses
the accuracy of this is amazing
The stories are ENDLESS 😂

Does anyone actually drive in the RIGHT lane and follow rules of the road in residential routes?
-been a Newspaper carrier for 7months now.

Kliff, loved it......too funny my friend! bahahahaha
Super entertaining! Loved this production😂😂😂😭😂 the phones call omg 😂😂
Are you still delivering newspapers? If so, after gas is it worth the money 💰

How the way they pay
You wear a Superman shirt! Yeaaaaaah!!! This is cute - you're so creative. The cookie scene is my fav lol

Do you have to talk to customers or post through mail boxes

2:51 : Why is the paper in a plastic bag ?
It's how they are bagged when tossed onto yards and porches. Also helps during rainy/snowy days to help keep them dry
@@spacekadetentertainment Yes , I know all of that being a carrier myself. My question was only inquisitive to that particular delivery .
