his name is jared, only bassist i know the name of. What's more insane is the fact that he apparently picked up bass just for Archspire.
His name is Jared Smith - and as rightly said , he's a jazz guy , used to do guitar , but picked up bass just for playing archspire around 2015-16 .... And by no means would anyone use the suffix 'poor' for him , have a look at his 'Remote Tumor Seeker Bass Playthrough' i doubt you'll say that again after watching it....

they can absolutely play this live but studio recordings are quantised and punched in like any other band

Yeah. I've listened to this countless times in the past month and I still stare at the screen and go "Huh?". So freakin' technical.
Yeah…. Golden mouth is the definition of banger. Every member is truly a master of their craft. I listened to that song on repeat for like three days when it came out. Killer album.
