We just returned from WDW MNSSHP and we are definitely considering a HOTHS for next Halloween, so this video was very insightful. Love y’all’s perspective going into the Wish. We want to wait until they release longer itineraries for the Wish before going on her, but I have a hunch that I’ll really love all the “different” things about the ship. Can’t wait to see y’all’s vlogs 🎉
Were definitely more excited about the Wish than it being a HOTHS cruise, but we’re looking forward to how Halloween activities are different on the Wish!
The Treasure is rumored to do longer cruises. Wish probably won’t for a few years

Happy 5th anniversary! Every cruise is different, but they were on our last HOTHS cruise on the Wonder 😊 If you see them on the schedule in the app, make sure to get there early! And have a great time!

Great tips. We are thinking about doing either a HOTHS or the Merrytime cruise. Not sure which one we are leaning towards.
We would LOVE a Merrytime cruise! I have a feeling we would like it more than HOTHS, but it’s a difficult time of the year for us to take off for vacay 😊
There wasn’t any cooking classes on the Wish. I missed that. Don’t expect treats at Cove Cafe, but drinks will probably be fall themed and I’m sure Halloween themed treats at Joyful treats. And they should definitely have special drinks. I suggest skipping drinks at dinners or brunch and try different ones from bars. Amazing ones, can’t wait for your vlogs. I liked the Wish more then I thought. Hoping they announce Treasure cruises this Tuesday

Is the Halloween theming like super scary, or like Disney/ kid appropriate scary? I’d expect with Disney that it’s not too spooky for the kids, but this will be our very first experience with any kind of Disney vacation so I’m excited but don’t want it to be too spooky.

We’ve never done a 3 night HOTHS cruise, so unfortunately, I can’t give you a solid answer. You may want to ask your travel agent or call dcl guest services to ask. Wish we could help you more!

I have only watched a couple of minutes and you said we are about to go on another one....but then you said on the Wish and I was so sad....I will be on the Fantasy in less than 2 weeks!!

Got any tips for Disney Cruise honeymooners? Me and my future wife are getting married in October and going on a Disney cruise October 26th this year.
Not a ton, since we honeymooned in Hawaii! Almost 20 years ago 😳 Best advice is to enjoy it all, and don’t feel the need to do everything. Since it’s your honeymoon, focus on things you enjoy doing together. Also, try new things togetherness, new food, new experiences. Cruises offer so many “firsts” or new opportunities for everyone. We wish you both well and enjoy celebrating in October!

Not at all! Disney does a really good job, especially on the HOTHS cruises of not having it be creepy or scary. Although we didn’t prefer the Wish’s Halloween tree lighting, it’s more princess and storybook themed. The Halloween tree lighting on all the other ships feels a little bit more like Ichabod Crane spooky. Not scary at all, just a little more of the fun, spooky vibe vs princesses. Everything else is all very good and family friendly! Feel free to watch our Halloween cruise on the wish from this past year, and our Halloween cruise on the Wonder in 2022 to see the differences!

I don’t know about in cabins, but you can always ask for some when you line up to go trick-or-treating!

We will be taking our first cruise. How do you keep in touch with no internet connection?
How fun!! As far as keeping in touch, are you talking about with people that are on the ship with you, or are you talking about people back at home?

In that case, you don’t need internet to communicate with each other! All you need is the Disney Cruise Line navigator app. When you get on board, you connect to the ships free Wi-Fi and use the Navigator app built-in chat function. The free version of the Wi-Fi does not include Internet, it just provides the functionality for the Navigator app. When you check in at the port, a DCL cast member will give you instructions on how to connect to the ship’s free wifi, use the app, and how the chat feature works 😊

We didn’t get bags at all on this cruise, but they have plenty where they hand out candy. But they are small.

Are you allowed to paint your face?
According to Disney, there are no restrictions with face paint, but there are some restrictions to wearing a full face covering mask. Check out this article from PlanDisney - plandisney.disney.go.com/question/special-rules-guidelines-adult-costumes-masks-face-paint-383817/
But keep in mind the heat & humidity! Face paint and humidity may not be good friends 🤷🏻♂️
