Now you know a little about how the harp works and got to hear a fun sliding sound too 😁 Note: if you do this too much on a gut string it will chew the string up, so don't go overboard if you try this at home!
I have a small question: what would happen if you would move pedal while a string is still vibrating? I've been wondering about that for a few days now.
Your videos where you mention Cb always have at least one person saying either "there is no Cb" or "isn't Cb just B?" Maybe you should do a video on enharmonics and the tuning of the harp.
My harp was handmade and does not have any levers or pedals. I have to retune for every song 🥲. (I'm getting levers put on soon but it has been a pain)
If you have a different accidental during a piece do you just change it? I think that would get kinda hard tho cuz what if you had a really quick passage with a bunch of different accidentald
They are enharmonic. Same sound, different note name. A byproduct of 12TET and the typical alphabetical rule of note naming system, in Western music at least. When naming a seven note scale, you do not duplicate note names. I.e. Bb Phrygian is not Bb B Db Eb F Gb Ab It is Bb Cb Db Eb F Gb Ab Also, there is a functional difference. Cb can give an indication of how a note should be played/what scale or key you are in.

Please don't take offense to this, but... that was horrible. Lol. And I mean that in the nicest possible way. The harp is beautiful. This was decidedly less so.

ahaha! thank you for the guidance!
That goofy ahh wiggle effect at the end 😂😂
Why did the slide sound like music from SpongeBob lol 😂
This is exactly what i was thinking. Now we have to hear her play the SpongeBob music
@@whatdoiputhere9618 omg yes
@@whatdoiputhere9618 spongebob music would be extremely difficult on harp, if not impossible
Because the music from SpongeBob is played on a lap steel slide guitar.
Wow. I had no idea harps had pedals. How genius.
What a fun, educational short!
This is so cool!
Please do some joy division! Candidate 🙏🏼
last effect was clumsy😂🥲🥲🤣
Oooooo i immediately was reminded of Ghosting by Mother Mother!
🤔Never knew!🤯🥳
Can you do aruarian dance from Samurai Champloo ? It fits harp so good. It would be great if you play 👍
God damn dude thank you for reminding me of that song it's been years since I've heard it. Time to relisten! :D
Your channel is on point! It keeps popping up for me, maybe because I am also a harpist and look up harp things but still! So good!
Here's a challenge- play Pride and Joy by Stevie Ray Vaughan 😃
Nice. Kodo harp 🌴
Why did the demo remind me of me whenever I'm bored on guitar and randomly just bend the strings to play weird notes
That sound at the end was real special. Does it have any practical song use? Like do you know of any songs that call for a slide on the harp?
Good vibrations beach boys. Its like a theremin
SpongeBob approves
💣💥❤️🔥🎶😍😍😍

i play the harp, it just makes a loud metallic sound. doesn’t sound very good. in songs that require changing pedals a lot it’s tough to avoid lol
It sounds like chattering metalic scatch... she shows it in another video
I love you
:D Could do it with few strings at once
Oh neat, you might’ve known this but we’ve got the same thing for slide guitars
More important: Can you SLAP the harp?
How you understand all of those strings is a mystery, I struggle with six on the guitar!
the colors help a lot!
@@IrisMobiel you are so modest!
@@alixlm1 oh I'm not the person who posted the video! But like Kristan I also play the harp :) For me the guitar is a big struggle 😅
@@IrisMobiel so it’s not just me? 😂
@@alixlm1 I play harp, also, and it's still a struggle!
do the spongebob ending credits song with this sound
Can you do harmonics?
So you if you can go a half step higher or lower, can you hit notes like b-flat and e-flat?

I prefer c plus plus

Show how glissandos work.
Day 8 of asking for Cole's Theme or Follow the Falcon, both from Ninjago.
Surely B and E are only 2 notes ? Or have I got that wrong. So B# is C etc maybe
Whats a c flat tho, just a b?

What is the most beautiful song you ever had to play on the harp?
Day 8 of asking for some My Chemical Romance
I have it in my batch of recordings, coming soon!
Ha goofy ass SpongeBob noises
Couldn't you just use your thumbnail so you didnt have to grab the tool? May even make the technique smooth enough to use live.
