My friend this is called disco dancing, dating back to the mid 70's. Actually it was originally called the New York Hustle. It truly took off first in the major east cities of the US. New York, Miami, Atlanta then expanded to the west coast mainly California and eventually every where by the end of the 70s. Just keeping the record straight. Great video thou. Keep on dancing !
Very nice. I love watching people dancing. The girls had more flare than the guys, they were a little bland. Remember the idea is to have fun not have a heart attack doing it. 😍
Apart from the word 'flair', WCS is a hard dance to learn (6-8 standard steps), especially for leaders. Even seasoned instructors readily admit that. The turnover of males is accordingly high. Many men leave, disillusioned at not being able to progress out of beginners. They're constantly looking for more men to enlist in WCS courses. The WCS scene is very small. You'll see the same people at most classes and events.
I've stopped several times due to snobby, diva follows...who can't be bothered to help new leads improve. Every time I dance I spend maybe a quarter of my time doing basics with new follows...otherwise you don't have any new people to dance with. Diva follows rarely do that, but instead pick at some mistake you made, and overdance and overstyle everything...often not finishing on the beat, so you can't lead a normal pattern. It ends up they don't get asked to dance. For those 1 in 25 follows who are rude....they need to try leading and see what it's like.
@@humanyoda well, the sight appeals to fellow eccentrics, at least in terms of starting to dance, and it weighs in more than some serendipitous dislikes. Here's some more context: ruclips.net/video/vRlLTmiPHKU/видео.html ;-)
@@humanyoda I have tried WCS but it was no fun for me either. A difficult dance style to learn and sometimes grumpy fellow female dancers. Progress is very slow and gaining skills takes a long time. The turnover of people leaving is accordingly high.
Finally. A well-made film of a dancing mob. Enough full-frame shots to see some footwork, and enough headshots to see those happy folks. Thumbs up.
i'm 73 and have been dancing all my life - keep dancing young people - it's great physically and mentally
i know I am kind of off topic but do anybody know a good website to watch newly released movies online ?

It would be so wonderful if the audience would start dancing too.
Great dancing. I wish I could have come across this when I was in Sydney in 2003.

TVIGH SWING SKOOL MOB AIRPORT - WBLACK
What's with the woman in the first couple looking over her shoulder with a SNIDE look!!!!
That's what you call a reality check. You have to dance with those kind of less pleasant people sometimes...
Irgendwie ist die Musik dazu immer so scheußlich, dass man keine Lust mehr hat dem Tanzen zuzuschauen^^
Overweight people don't look good dancing.
humanyoda Shut up. They all look like they’re having fun.
@@myrnamudersbach3715, they could certainly be having fun, but they don't look good.

@@jackmorgan1677, yeah, learning how to dance well takes time and efforts. Doing it with unattractive partners makes it more difficult.
