That’s one sweet bike. I have a 2006 Harley 1200 custom , but this bike brings back so many cool memories.

I just bought this exact bike as a barn find with 2,000 original miles on it. Hasn't run since 1984. Do you have a complete restoration video for this bike? Thanks. I can't wait to start working on it

If I’m understanding you correctly no that’s not my thing. I spend my time maintaining the website vs being a video editor. Best of luck with it!

A beauty with a kick. My dad had that one. First bike I ever rode. Now I want one too.

Takes a while so I will get back to you later with my results.

You don’t use the factory compression release when you start it. A buddy of mine had that very same bike in high school. First time he tried to kick it without using the manufacture compression release twisted his ankle. I owned that particular year, but it was 175 Enduro. I went looking for the 250 if it was an orange and nobody had them in Orlando or Titusville or Merritt Island. At that time. The Yamaha dealers would get them in stock. They will be sold before they hit the floor

Im restoring one of these right now. How much is one in that condition worth?

Hi Brett honestly I'm not sure. As with MOST bikes, the end value does not match the cost to build and/or restore the bike. You might be able to get $5-7K for it? It's really hard to say.

Motorcycle Symmetry thanks for the quick reply. That’s about around what I was estimating.
Also, maybe you can clarify something for me. Mine looks exactly like the one in your video; however, the year on the vin tag says it’s a 71, and the vin on the motor indicates it’s an RT1. Based on appearance, since it’s identical to yours, it seems to be an RT2.....
Just trying to figure out exactly what it is so I can source the correct tail light and turn signals. The mount for the tail light is 120mm from front to rear mounts. Other RT2 and DT1 models I have had are all 150mm.

@@eppdesign Do know much about the history of the bike itself? Someone could have put on a different tank along the way. I've seen some weird stuff on the years/models/differences on these old bikes. Honestly I would consult the web a bit and see what you can find. I am not an encyclopedia when it comes to exact specs and oddities with the Yamaha enduros.

What’s the ask. I’d trade for it.

The bike is not for sale. It was restored for a customer.
