UPDATE So i was able to try The Nutmeg setting powder yesterday from a friend and honestly it must've been the lighting in the store because it looked fine so it is perfectly fine as an all over face powder if you want to get it lol

One thing is for sure. It just shows that all makeup brands can never be a match to everyone. Respect to the brands who try and play around with undertones and different hues etc but it clearly is a process. I am just happy that compared to when I was younger there is more choices about.
I like the powder on you. I think fenty is for more of a natural beat. So too much powder isn’t good. The mix foundation looks good but in this day and age who wants to mix?
The look turned out great! It could be the camera but I prefer this shade of under eye setting powder on you. Its alot more natural and beautiful than the yellow powders. But I prefer a natural glam look vs a beat obviously wearing alot of makeup look so that could be it. Regardless it looks good on you.

I can’t find a shade either I own both 410 and 420 and was hoping that they were gonna put a neutral shade between those in the new launch. I originally bought 420 on launch day because it was described as neutral and 410 as cool but now with the shade extension 420 is described as warm and 410 as golden. I was looking forward to the new 385 because it says neutral but all the reviews of that color make me think it’s too light.
I didn’t have a shade in the 1st launch either. I’m going back this week to check out the new shades (only because I’m almost out of foundation). I can’t bring myself to buy this stuff just because it’s Rihanna. I just can’t.

@NaturalJoy I had the same problem! But her new shade 385 that has a neutral undertone matches really good. I use it w her concealer in the shade 370 & it’s now the best matching foundation I own. I’ve always struggled to find a foundation that matches me especially in the winter. You should definitely try & color match yourself & see if it works out. I brought my sister along to help me bc for some reason I tend to match myself better than the employees there but it always helps to have a second opinion ✨
People need to know that these Fenty foundations oxidise quite a lot. What you see is not what you get. They dry down way darker and redder. I know people don’t want to hear anything negative about Fenty because it’s Rihanna, but the truth must be told.
I got matched to one and it was like orange when it finally like dries down and then I take a flash picture. Literally looks like white powdery sitting on my face
Everything that’s been said here is all of your subjective truths, not an all-encompassing objective truth. Other people’s subjective truths may be the opposite of yours, does that mean they’re wrong? My shade actually looks way more red/orange when wet before it dries down to a more neutral/golden tone. Just because it doesn’t work for you doesn’t mean it’s a dub for everyone. You shouldn’t assume people are gassing it just because it’s Rihanna; there are quite a few Fenty products that are almost universally “meh” or even disliked.
Your face looks very highlighted after using the powder. You may have looked too bright for your skin tone with that banana shade. Love the end result.
I honestly think the powder looked good on you, it gave a natural highlight 😍. I also got the powder in Honey and I’m lighter than you. Wish I also got banana but tbh I think I’m gonna use the powder more for all over the face. I feel like that’s how the powder will work best!

Yarah Monae' I’m dark skin, but my undertone isn’t red/orange it’s golden as well.... I don’t think her or Jackie have any self hate issues or imply that red/orange aren’t desirable, it’s just that when you have golden undertones and trying a product that settles down to that red/orange on your face it simply doesn’t look good

I got banana and honey for undereye...tried side by side and I liked the look of honey SO much better... banana is okay...but I want to have some color to my undereye and to me banana just made me look pale...not bright...ya know....I need some warmth...some color hunee!!!😂✌
K love Obviously I haven’t tried it but if u had to pick between Banana i would go for honey just from the look but between Sacha Banana and Honey I’d go for Sacha. It’s funny cos Too Much Mouth used Banana and she’s much darker and it looked great on her

I bought it probably 2 years ago an let it sit there for a while and tried it with sponges and was disappointed then one day I thought I’ll try it with a real techniques eyeshadow brush (dome shadows brush) accidentally mind you and it worked. My issue was that it would either not blend well or blend to nothing. I have been hooked ever since. It lasted me ages too an replaced my everyday touch e clat by YSL. Although I do prefer Nars radiant creamy concealers in my True Tone I’m dark skin but was originally sold Amande an later bought Hazlenut for everyday wear ; I use Amande now on a special occasions. If you still own try it out with a new combination but I get it we are uniquely different. 😊
Try 390. I think there is quite a bit of overlap in the shades. It's the change in undertones that will help you to find the 'perfect' shade for you. Don't look too closely at what the next person. Is wearing v because their undergone will make the foundation look completely different on them .Even if you think a colour will look too light/dark on you, swatch it's let it dry and tbendecide...
LOL I wish there was a 405 but I wish they actually have a neutral-to-subtle red undertone. 400 is little too orange and but I find 410 a little too cool. I need a little red personally.
I personally prefer honey over the banana shade because the banana is more of a pale light yellow and I definitely prefer Sacha over both! (I compared them in my video too!) Great Video!!

Loved the final look. I actually appreciated seeing the golden on top of the yellow concealer. It really did show how much the powders can work to tone down the look... but like you said, it isnt really what you would typically go for in a highlight. But I LOVED it! That shadow was everything!!
No Jennie You are not alone. I tried Fenty foundation and it did not work for my skin and I couldn't find exactly the right color. I think people support you I just think a lot of people are not into posting on social media as much. I will comment on RUclips videos but I'm not really a Twitter or Instagram story or Instagram person and I don't leave a lot of comments on RUclips videos. Perhaps a lot of your followers are just the same. Just not realistic of people to think that every product is going to work for everyone nor do I think it's realistic to think that just because of products is associated with a person of color we have to buy it or think it's the Holy Grail and that doesn't mean I don't support Rihanna's distance or wish her well but some things work for people better than others

Agreed. I wore the same shades she chose- went from 440 to 430 and they were both off. Switched to Lancome Tiente Idole 520 w and 540 w both seem too ashy. I was recommended Nars Sheer Glow New Caledonia shades.

I agree about the powders! This was exactly what I felt when I reviewed them. I wish they had made a yellow powder for darker skin to set under their eyes. Banana was a weird shade. It's white beige, and I prefer yellow. Honey was also a weird shade. For me it was too brown for under my eyes and too light for all over my face. The formula is nice, but I really wish they had added a yellow powder.

I originally didn't have a shade match in Fenty either but 445 is a good match for me now. I like everything about the concealer except that it's more medium coverage than full coverage like early PR reviews were claiming :/ I also feel like it creases more noticeably than other concealers I've tried but I think I'll finish up what I bought but not necessarily repurchase the concealer

Love the red hair, Jenny. I like the natural look of Fenty foundation upon application of a close match- 440 but the oxidation is disrespectful. The longer I wore it the darker it seem to get. I looked crazy. Plus, I have no patience for mixing shades. So yeah I dont have a shade in Fenty at the moment either.

I definitely don’t have a match in the foundation. I purchased 450 but it is a bit too red for my face. It’s something I “make work”. But there are other brands who have a match for me perfectly. 🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️they just came out with 445 but I’m scared of the olive undertone, but we’ll see how it goes.

I know some people who aren’t able to find a match in the Fenty foundation either. I will say that if you use too much of the concealer that it definitely creases..
Always Ashiaax0 that is because the concealer applies ‘thick’ but sheers out everytime you blend it it so it makes u want to apply more. I have dark circles and a deep set under eye so I need a full coverage concealer to rectify those issues

SIS I didnt see that video cuz i did not like how fenty foundation oxidized when it first came out and with the new launch I decided to try to find my shade AND I STRUUUGLED! EVEN THE SEPHORA REPS STRUGGLED! So people need to chill out! why they think fenty added more shades this launch. Fenty products are amazing though. I LOOOVE my final face after contouring bronzing etc.

Personally I think the honey powder looks so flattering on you. I think the powders are meant to subtly highlight and melt into the skin. Based on the reviews I’ve seen so far I am loving the effect of the powder and it is a total game changer for me. Don’t know how dark skin women got caught up with yellow powder on their faces being cute. I also found the banana powder on Jackie was nice.

I honestly think this was a great example of how the concealers can be used as foundation and I hope people take note. 390 concealer and Honey powder looked great under your eyes too! I think people really should stop moaning about not finding their exact shade in foundation as only a few people can find a foundation that matches their skin tone 100%. We need to remember that we end up by highlighting the centre of our face so as long as the foundation works it should be fine. I use 450 and even though it's a bit darker/redder than my skin tone it works fine for me and I love it

Love the video.. I tried the honey at the store and at 1st by just looking at it. I thought it was the perfect yellow tint.. But it end up being warmer /golden then expected. So I tried the banana powder. It didn't have any color to it. It came off pale/white. Overall, I wish the banana powder by Fenty had more of an yellow color too it.
Hey Jennie, I too can’t find my exact match in the fenty foundation, I’m somewhere between 290 and 310. 300 looks pink on me and 290 looks way yellow and 310 is too dark. The look is flawless! I feel the banana would have been a tad too bright! The honey gives you a soft natural look. Makeup should enhance and that’s what you’ve accomplished with this look!

Hey boo hey! The concealer foundation mix you used looks great on you! I also got banana and butter and banana mutes out the concealer the same way you felt honey did for you. Banana was way too yellow for me and I had to add butter on top but I’m gonna try it out some more to see
I loved both of your Fenty reviews! Your second one was especially helpful because you pointed out the importance of trying the shade in different lighting. I’m excited about the concealers though because they look like they compliment the foundations really well. That honey powder looks amazing on you...think it’s for more of a natural more skin like look. You should give it another try!
I can’t find my shade in Fenty either. I’m a golden neutral. Hoping that there’s one for me in the new shades. Even though I can’t find a foundation I still support Fenty by getting other products that I like.
I couldn't find my shade either. 370 came the closest, but I ended up taking it back. I was so orange. I'm glad they added new shades because 385 works for me.

I had a problem finding my foundation shade when Fenty first came out, I’m hoping with this second release where they have added more foundation shades I can finally get a foundation shade for my complexion.

I am a 430 (foundation) and to be honest I was hella scared when I had it on first (thoughts of oompaloompa) until it dried down I was happy. Girl, I’m so glad you found your shade, however, I absolutely hate this foundation in the original and hydrating formulas. I was like you where I didn’t really have a match, my closest was 360 but it was a little too dark , but I could also wear 330. 345 however looks very orange. I have found through expanding my horizons, that it is the consistency of the foundation that I hate. It sits on top of your skin rather than seeping in like its supposed to. I definitely would recommend stellar, possibly s22. It’s a line by another epic and the formula is so much better especially for those with dry skin.
Jenny I haven’t bought a fenty foundation. There is no Sephora where I am to physically try it. I usually buy stuff online based on ppl I follow that are close to my skin tone but when your usual match says she is 370 and another person who is darker than me says she is 320, and u get a sample that’s 340 and its way too dark you get confused. So i just left it alone
OMG I said the same thing about her foundations! I think we’re the same shade because 440 is too red, 430 is too light, & 480 is too damn dark! But I love Fenty’s formula and I don’t get oily. So I mix 430 & 480 and that gives me my perfect match. It’s like WTF.... The look turned out great! It could be the camera but I prefer this shade of under eye setting powder on you. Its alot more natural and beautiful than the yellow powders. But I prefer a natural glam look vs a beat obviously wearing alot of makeup look so that could be it. Regardless it looks good on you.
I haven’t found a shade either and I tried 4 times they were all too red or orange. I’m going to try to see if the new shades help me because I liked the formula on them
I can’t find a shade either I own both 410 and 420 and was hoping that they were gonna put a neutral shade between those in the new launch. I originally bought 420 on launch day because it was described as neutral and 410 as cool but now with the shade extension 420 is described as warm and 410 as golden. I was looking forward to the new 385 because it says neutral but all the reviews of that color make me think it’s too light.
I didn’t have a shade in the 1st launch either. I’m going back this week to check out the new shades (only because I’m almost out of foundation). I can’t bring myself to buy this stuff just because it’s Rihanna. I just can’t.

@NaturalJoy I had the same problem! But her new shade 385 that has a neutral undertone matches really good. I use it w her concealer in the shade 370 & it’s now the best matching foundation I own. I’ve always struggled to find a foundation that matches me especially in the winter. You should definitely try & color match yourself & see if it works out. I brought my sister along to help me bc for some reason I tend to match myself better than the employees there but it always helps to have a second opinion ✨
People need to know that these Fenty foundations oxidise quite a lot. What you see is not what you get. They dry down way darker and redder. I know people don’t want to hear anything negative about Fenty because it’s Rihanna, but the truth must be told.

Everything that’s been said here is all of your subjective truths, not an all-encompassing objective truth. Other people’s subjective truths may be the opposite of yours, does that mean they’re wrong? My shade actually looks way more red/orange when wet before it dries down to a more neutral/golden tone. Just because it doesn’t work for you doesn’t mean it’s a dub for everyone. You shouldn’t assume people are gassing it just because it’s Rihanna; there are quite a few Fenty products that are almost universally “meh” or even disliked.

Your face looks very highlighted after using the powder. You may have looked too bright for your skin tone with that banana shade. Love the end result.

Yarah Monae' I’m dark skin, but my undertone isn’t red/orange it’s golden as well.... I don’t think her or Jackie have any self hate issues or imply that red/orange aren’t desirable, it’s just that when you have golden undertones and trying a product that settles down to that red/orange on your face it simply doesn’t look good

I got banana and honey for undereye...tried side by side and I liked the look of honey SO much better... banana is okay...but I want to have some color to my undereye and to me banana just made me look pale...not bright...ya know....I need some warmth...some color hunee!!!😂✌

I’m not a fan either Jackie Aina said it was good but it was honestly a waste of my money
I bought it probably 2 years ago an let it sit there for a while and tried it with sponges and was disappointed then one day I thought I’ll try it with a real techniques eyeshadow brush (dome shadows brush) accidentally mind you and it worked. My issue was that it would either not blend well or blend to nothing. I have been hooked ever since. It lasted me ages too an replaced my everyday touch e clat by YSL. Although I do prefer Nars radiant creamy concealers in my True Tone I’m dark skin but was originally sold Amande an later bought Hazlenut for everyday wear ; I use Amande now on a special occasions. If you still own try it out with a new combination but I get it we are uniquely different. 😊

Try 390. I think there is quite a bit of overlap in the shades. It's the change in undertones that will help you to find the 'perfect' shade for you. Don't look too closely at what the next person. Is wearing v because their undergone will make the foundation look completely different on them .Even if you think a colour will look too light/dark on you, swatch it's let it dry and tbendecide...

I personally prefer honey over the banana shade because the banana is more of a pale light yellow and I definitely prefer Sacha over both! (I compared them in my video too!) Great Video!!

Loved the final look. I actually appreciated seeing the golden on top of the yellow concealer. It really did show how much the powders can work to tone down the look... but like you said, it isnt really what you would typically go for in a highlight. But I LOVED it! That shadow was everything!!
No Jennie You are not alone. I tried Fenty foundation and it did not work for my skin and I couldn't find exactly the right color. I think people support you I just think a lot of people are not into posting on social media as much. I will comment on RUclips videos but I'm not really a Twitter or Instagram story or Instagram person and I don't leave a lot of comments on RUclips videos. Perhaps a lot of your followers are just the same. Just not realistic of people to think that every product is going to work for everyone nor do I think it's realistic to think that just because of products is associated with a person of color we have to buy it or think it's the Holy Grail and that doesn't mean I don't support Rihanna's distance or wish her well but some things work for people better than others

Agreed. I wore the same shades she chose- went from 440 to 430 and they were both off. Switched to Lancome Tiente Idole 520 w and 540 w both seem too ashy. I was recommended Nars Sheer Glow New Caledonia shades.

I agree about the powders! This was exactly what I felt when I reviewed them. I wish they had made a yellow powder for darker skin to set under their eyes. Banana was a weird shade. It's white beige, and I prefer yellow. Honey was also a weird shade. For me it was too brown for under my eyes and too light for all over my face. The formula is nice, but I really wish they had added a yellow powder.

I originally didn't have a shade match in Fenty either but 445 is a good match for me now. I like everything about the concealer except that it's more medium coverage than full coverage like early PR reviews were claiming :/ I also feel like it creases more noticeably than other concealers I've tried but I think I'll finish up what I bought but not necessarily repurchase the concealer

Love the red hair, Jenny. I like the natural look of Fenty foundation upon application of a close match- 440 but the oxidation is disrespectful. The longer I wore it the darker it seem to get. I looked crazy. Plus, I have no patience for mixing shades. So yeah I dont have a shade in Fenty at the moment either.

I definitely don’t have a match in the foundation. I purchased 450 but it is a bit too red for my face. It’s something I “make work”. But there are other brands who have a match for me perfectly. 🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️they just came out with 445 but I’m scared of the olive undertone, but we’ll see how it goes.

I know some people who aren’t able to find a match in the Fenty foundation either. I will say that if you use too much of the concealer that it definitely creases..
Always Ashiaax0 that is because the concealer applies ‘thick’ but sheers out everytime you blend it it so it makes u want to apply more. I have dark circles and a deep set under eye so I need a full coverage concealer to rectify those issues

You think nutmeg is too dark? Nutmeg as an all over powder that would work great on her complexion. She said maybe it wouldn't look as dark on the skin as in the container. Umm duuh..its a translucent powder. Of course the color looks more diffused on the skin than in the container! She does makeup so I know that she knows that. Then she wanted to use banana for her under eye bc honey drowns out the color of the highlight? Well if u put on as much powder as she did of course it will. SIS I didnt see that video cuz i did not like how fenty foundation oxidized when it first came out and with the new launch I decided to try to find my shade AND I STRUUUGLED! EVEN THE SEPHORA REPS STRUGGLED! So people need to chill out! why they think fenty added more shades this launch. Fenty products are amazing though. I LOOOVE my final face after contouring bronzing etc.

Personally I think the honey powder looks so flattering on you. I think the powders are meant to subtly highlight and melt into the skin. Based on the reviews I’ve seen so far I am loving the effect of the powder and it is a total game changer for me. Don’t know how dark skin women got caught up with yellow powder on their faces being cute. I also found the banana powder on Jackie was nice.
I feel like with the honey it looks really natural on you. But I understand if you have a preference. It looks like you just have eyeshadow & touched up your brows.

I think people really should stop moaning about not finding their exact shade in foundation as only a few people can find a foundation that matches their skin tone 100%.
We need to remember that we end up by highlighting the centre of our face so as long as the foundation works it should be fine. I use 450 and even though it's a bit darker/redder than my skin tone it works fine for me and I love it

Love the video.. I tried the honey at the store and at 1st by just looking at it. I thought it was the perfect yellow tint.. But it end up being warmer /golden then expected. So I tried the banana powder. It didn't have any color to it. It came off pale/white. Overall, I wish the banana powder by Fenty had more of an yellow color too it.

The look is flawless! I feel the banana would have been a tad too bright! The honey gives you a soft natural look. Makeup should enhance and that’s what you’ve accomplished with this look!

Hey boo hey! The concealer foundation mix you used looks great on you! I also got banana and butter and banana mutes out the concealer the same way you felt honey did for you. Banana was way too yellow for me and I had to add butter on top but I’m gonna try it out some more to see

I couldn't find my shade either. 370 came the closest, but I ended up taking it back. I was so orange. I'm glad they added new shades because 385 works for me.

Maybe it’s me but the setting powder you used from what I can see, worked beautifully. Your face looks gorgeous!!!! I had a problem finding my foundation shade when Fenty first came out, I’m hoping with this second release where they have added more foundation shades I can finally get a foundation shade for my complexion.
6 mins in and Sorry had to pause to comment...I LOVE that mix you did to create that shade - looks perfect! I am a 430 (foundation) and to be honest I was hella scared when I had it on first (thoughts of oompaloompa) until it dried down I was happy. I am just stuck for concealer and powder shade and as I use you as a reference.....ok back to watching...#endscommercialbreak

Girl, I’m so glad you found your shade, however, I absolutely hate this foundation in the original and hydrating formulas. I was like you where I didn’t really have a match, my closest was 360 but it was a little too dark , but I could also wear 330. 345 however looks very orange. I have found through expanding my horizons, that it is the consistency of the foundation that I hate. It sits on top of your skin rather than seeping in like its supposed to. I definitely would recommend stellar, possibly s22. It’s a line by another epic and the formula is so much better especially for those with dry skin.

There is no Sephora where I am to physically try it. I usually buy stuff online based on ppl I follow that are close to my skin tone but when your usual match says she is 370 and another person who is darker than me says she is 320, and u get a sample that’s 340 and its way too dark you get confused. So i just left it alone
OMG I said the same thing about her foundations! I think we’re the same shade because 440 is too red, 430 is too light, & 480 is too damn dark! But I love Fenty’s formula and I don’t get oily. So I mix 430 & 480 and that gives me my perfect match. It’s like WTF.... ALL these shades and a Bitch STILL can’t get a match😩 But like you said, if they would make something between 430 & 440 that’s neutral or golden... I👏🏾WOULD👏🏾BE👏🏾IN👏🏾HEAVEN👏🏾!
