UPDATE So i was able to try The Nutmeg setting powder yesterday from a friend and honestly it must've been the lighting in the store because it looked fine so it is perfectly fine as an all over face powder if you want to get it lol

One thing is for sure. It just shows that all makeup brands can never be a match to everyone. Respect to the brands who try and play around with undertones and different hues etc but it clearly is a process. I am just happy that compared to when I was younger there is more choices about.
I like the powder on you. I think fenty is for more of a natural beat. So too much powder isn’t good. The mix foundation looks good but in this day and age who wants to mix?

I can’t find a shade either I own both 410 and 420 and was hoping that they were gonna put a neutral shade between those in the new launch. I originally bought 420 on launch day because it was described as neutral and 410 as cool but now with the shade extension 420 is described as warm and 410 as golden. I was looking forward to the new 385 because it says neutral but all the reviews of that color make me think it’s too light.
I didn’t have a shade in the 1st launch either. I’m going back this week to check out the new shades (only because I’m almost out of foundation). I can’t bring myself to buy this stuff just because it’s Rihanna. I just can’t.

@NaturalJoy I had the same problem! But her new shade 385 that has a neutral undertone matches really good. I use it w her concealer in the shade 370 & it’s now the best matching foundation I own. I’ve always struggled to find a foundation that matches me especially in the winter. You should definitely try & color match yourself & see if it works out. I brought my sister along to help me bc for some reason I tend to match myself better than the employees there but it always helps to have a second opinion ✨
People need to know that these Fenty foundations oxidise quite a lot. What you see is not what you get. They dry down way darker and redder. I know people don’t want to hear anything negative about Fenty because it’s Rihanna, but the truth must be told.
I got matched to one and it was like orange when it finally like dries down and then I take a flash picture. Literally looks like white powdery sitting on my face
Everything that’s been said here is all of your subjective truths, not an all-encompassing objective truth. Other people’s subjective truths may be the opposite of yours, does that mean they’re wrong? My shade actually looks way more red/orange when wet before it dries down to a more neutral/golden tone. Just because it doesn’t work for you doesn’t mean it’s a dub for everyone. You shouldn’t assume people are gassing it just because it’s Rihanna; there are quite a few Fenty products that are almost universally “meh” or even disliked.
The look turned out great! It could be the camera but I prefer this shade of under eye setting powder on you. Its alot more natural and beautiful than the yellow powders. But I prefer a natural glam look vs a beat obviously wearing alot of makeup look so that could be it. Regardless it looks good on you.
Your face looks very highlighted after using the powder. You may have looked too bright for your skin tone with that banana shade. Love the end result.
I got banana and honey for undereye...tried side by side and I liked the look of honey SO much better... banana is okay...but I want to have some color to my undereye and to me banana just made me look pale...not bright...ya know....I need some warmth...some color hunee!!!😂✌
K love Obviously I haven’t tried it but if u had to pick between Banana i would go for honey just from the look but between Sacha Banana and Honey I’d go for Sacha. It’s funny cos Too Much Mouth used Banana and she’s much darker and it looked great on her

Try 390. I think there is quite a bit of overlap in the shades. It's the change in undertones that will help you to find the 'perfect' shade for you. Don't look too closely at what the next person. Is wearing v because their undergone will make the foundation look completely different on them .Even if you think a colour will look too light/dark on you, swatch it's let it dry and tbendecide...
LOL I wish there was a 405 but I wish they actually have a neutral-to-subtle red undertone. 400 is little too orange and but I find 410 a little too cool. I need a little red personally.

Loved the final look. I actually appreciated seeing the golden on top of the yellow concealer. It really did show how much the powders can work to tone down the look... but like you said, it isnt really what you would typically go for in a highlight. But I LOVED it! That shadow was everything!!

I bought it probably 2 years ago an let it sit there for a while and tried it with sponges and was disappointed then one day I thought I’ll try it with a real techniques eyeshadow brush (dome shadows brush) accidentally mind you and it worked. My issue was that it would either not blend well or blend to nothing. I have been hooked ever since. It lasted me ages too an replaced my everyday touch e clat by YSL. Although I do prefer Nars radiant creamy concealers in my True Tone I’m dark skin but was originally sold Amande an later bought Hazlenut for everyday wear ; I use Amande now on a special occasions. If you still own try it out with a new combination but I get it we are uniquely different. 😊

Yarah Monae' I’m dark skin, but my undertone isn’t red/orange it’s golden as well.... I don’t think her or Jackie have any self hate issues or imply that red/orange aren’t desirable, it’s just that when you have golden undertones and trying a product that settles down to that red/orange on your face it simply doesn’t look good

No Jennie You are not alone. I tried Fenty foundation and it did not work for my skin and I couldn't find exactly the right color. I think people support you I just think a lot of people are not into posting on social media as much. I will comment on RUclips videos but I'm not really a Twitter or Instagram story or Instagram person and I don't leave a lot of comments on RUclips videos. Perhaps a lot of your followers are just the same. Just not realistic of people to think that every product is going to work for everyone nor do I think it's realistic to think that just because of products is associated with a person of color we have to buy it or think it's the Holy Grail and that doesn't mean I don't support Rihanna's distance or wish her well but some things work for people better than others

Agreed. I wore the same shades she chose- went from 440 to 430 and they were both off. Switched to Lancome Tiente Idole 520 w and 540 w both seem too ashy. I was recommended Nars Sheer Glow New Caledonia shades.
I agree about the powders! This was exactly what I felt when I reviewed them. I wish they had made a yellow powder for darker skin to set under their eyes. Banana was a weird shade. It's white beige, and I prefer yellow. Honey was also a weird shade. For me it was too brown for under my eyes and too light for all over my face. The formula is nice, but I really wish they had added a yellow powder.

Always Ashiaax0 that is because the concealer applies ‘thick’ but sheers out everytime you blend it it so it makes u want to apply more. I have dark circles and a deep set under eye so I need a full coverage concealer to rectify those issues

Love the red hair, Jenny. I like the natural look of Fenty foundation upon application of a close match- 440 but the oxidation is disrespectful. The longer I wore it the darker it seem to get. I looked crazy. Plus, I have no patience for mixing shades. So yeah I dont have a shade in Fenty at the moment either.

I originally didn't have a shade match in Fenty either but 445 is a good match for me now. I like everything about the concealer except that it's more medium coverage than full coverage like early PR reviews were claiming :/ I also feel like it creases more noticeably than other concealers I've tried but I think I'll finish up what I bought but not necessarily repurchase the concealer
Sis the makeup looks good maybe it’s the lighting not showing the true colour and shade. Do not kill me but when I see you I don’t see the yellow that you desire at all but more red. The setting powder looked really nice but maybe it’s just the desired look you want

Seems like you used more powder on the side that had the patch... I like a brush application with those powders from the videos that I've seen but I definitely still can't decide what powder would work for me. I just got the Patrick Powder for Christmas, have you tried that?

my perimeter of my face does good with the hazelnut powder but inner im using mac translucent powder .....im using 410 concealer scared of anything else i may be able to skip up to something lighter idk how i feel yet

The look is flawless! I feel the banana would have been a tad too bright! The honey gives you a soft natural look. Makeup should enhance and that’s what you’ve accomplished with this look!
The concealer looks great on you but it seems like you can’t really apply too much and bake because it gets patchy. I’ll skip the concealer but I’m really excited for the powders. This power definitely gives you more of a neutral look but I wonder if you had used a more yellow/ golden concealer would it have given a more golden look ?
I didn’t think you an I were the same complexion shade but I guess it’s your lighting. I have the EXACT issue as you. 440 oxidized to Red for me. But 330 is to yellow and not my shade. Try 390. I think there is quite a bit of overlap in the shades. It's the change in undertones that will help you to find the 'perfect' shade for you. Don't look too closely at what the next person. Is wearing v because their undergone will make the foundation look completely different on them .Even if you think a colour will look too light/dark on you, swatch it's let it dry and tbendecide...
LOL I wish there was a 405 but I wish they actually have a neutral-to-subtle red undertone. 400 is little too orange and but I find 410 a little too cool. I need a little red personally.

Loved the final look. I actually appreciated seeing the golden on top of the yellow concealer. It really did show how much the powders can work to tone down the look... but like you said, it isnt really what you would typically go for in a highlight. But I LOVED it! That shadow was everything!!

The 445 is in the concealer!!!!! Not the foundation. The 445 in the foundation is a lil darker and redder, Please listen to what she said before you comment.

I’m not a fan either Jackie Aina said it was good but it was honestly a waste of my money
I bought it probably 2 years ago an let it sit there for a while and tried it with sponges and was disappointed then one day I thought I’ll try it with a real techniques eyeshadow brush (dome shadows brush) accidentally mind you and it worked. My issue was that it would either not blend well or blend to nothing. I have been hooked ever since. It lasted me ages too an replaced my everyday touch e clat by YSL. Although I do prefer Nars radiant creamy concealers in my True Tone I’m dark skin but was originally sold Amande an later bought Hazlenut for everyday wear ; I use Amande now on a special occasions. If you still own try it out with a new combination but I get it we are uniquely different. 😊

I personally prefer honey over the banana shade because the banana is more of a pale light yellow and I definitely prefer Sacha over both! (I compared them in my video too!) Great Video!!

My foundation shade is 360 and found the banana powder to light and ashy...don't really see it working with dark skin

Yarah Monae' I’m dark skin, but my undertone isn’t red/orange it’s golden as well.... I don’t think her or Jackie have any self hate issues or imply that red/orange aren’t desirable, it’s just that when you have golden undertones and trying a product that settles down to that red/orange on your face it simply doesn’t look good

I know ppl that when the foundation first came out that was disappointed ☹️ because the couldn’t find there shade so.. Anyway I haven’t picked up my concealer or powder YET because I wanted to see more swatches and reviews and the CRAZINESS of Friday launch date UGH 😑 I don’t do Crazy it’s not that serious and this is a permanent line
No Jennie You are not alone. I tried Fenty foundation and it did not work for my skin and I couldn't find exactly the right color. I think people support you I just think a lot of people are not into posting on social media as much. I will comment on RUclips videos but I'm not really a Twitter or Instagram story or Instagram person and I don't leave a lot of comments on RUclips videos. Perhaps a lot of your followers are just the same. Just not realistic of people to think that every product is going to work for everyone nor do I think it's realistic to think that just because of products is associated with a person of color we have to buy it or think it's the Holy Grail and that doesn't mean I don't support Rihanna's distance or wish her well but some things work for people better than others

Agreed. I wore the same shades she chose- went from 440 to 430 and they were both off. Switched to Lancome Tiente Idole 520 w and 540 w both seem too ashy. I was recommended Nars Sheer Glow New Caledonia shades.
I agree about the powders! This was exactly what I felt when I reviewed them. I wish they had made a yellow powder for darker skin to set under their eyes. Banana was a weird shade. It's white beige, and I prefer yellow. Honey was also a weird shade. For me it was too brown for under my eyes and too light for all over my face. The formula is nice, but I really wish they had added a yellow powder.

Always Ashiaax0 that is because the concealer applies ‘thick’ but sheers out everytime you blend it it so it makes u want to apply more. I have dark circles and a deep set under eye so I need a full coverage concealer to rectify those issues

You think nutmeg is too dark? Nutmeg as an all over powder that would work great on her complexion. She said maybe it wouldn't look as dark on the skin as in the container. Umm duuh..its a translucent powder. Of course the color looks more diffused on the skin than in the container! She does makeup so I know that she knows that. Then she wanted to use banana for her under eye bc honey drowns out the color of the highlight? Well if u put on as much powder as she did of course it will. Jessica Pettiway did a review on the Fenty concealers and powders and she used honey for under eye and nutmeg for all over and it looked flawless!! Btw, Jessica is lighter than her. So she made absolutely zero sense to me. 🤷🏽♀️

Love the red hair, Jenny. I like the natural look of Fenty foundation upon application of a close match- 440 but the oxidation is disrespectful. The longer I wore it the darker it seem to get. I looked crazy. Plus, I have no patience for mixing shades. So yeah I dont have a shade in Fenty at the moment either.

I originally didn't have a shade match in Fenty either but 445 is a good match for me now. I like everything about the concealer except that it's more medium coverage than full coverage like early PR reviews were claiming :/ I also feel like it creases more noticeably than other concealers I've tried but I think I'll finish up what I bought but not necessarily repurchase the concealer
Sis the makeup looks good maybe it’s the lighting not showing the true colour and shade. Do not kill me but when I see you I don’t see the yellow that you desire at all but more red. The setting powder looked really nice but maybe it’s just the desired look you want

Seems like you used more powder on the side that had the patch... I like a brush application with those powders from the videos that I've seen but I definitely still can't decide what powder would work for me. I just got the Patrick Powder for Christmas, have you tried that?

The look is flawless! I feel the banana would have been a tad too bright! The honey gives you a soft natural look. Makeup should enhance and that’s what you’ve accomplished with this look!
The concealer looks great on you but it seems like you can’t really apply too much and bake because it gets patchy. I’ll skip the concealer but I’m really excited for the powders.
This power definitely gives you more of a neutral look but I wonder if you had used a more yellow/ golden concealer would it have given a more golden look ?
I didn’t think you an I were the same complexion shade but I guess it’s your lighting. I have the EXACT issue as you. 440 oxidized to Red for me. But 330 is to yellow and not my shade. I never thought about a neutral golden shade as you mention. That’s what missing for sure. I will try your combo as soon as I can get in a Sephora.

that separation line thingy happened to me too. its the concealer 13:36 ... made me sad. i was actually disappointed in it and i found it very hard to blend and work with. i feel like everyone sold me dreams
