Find an Effy, panda lol... joke aside I think you are over glorifying the life style. Most of my teen years were like this show. I’ll give you the secrete to this type of life though. There is one orchestrator, in their case it was tony. In the second season it was Effy. In my case sometimes it was me sometimes another. So become a tony or and Effy. You need to be the one that gathers individuals if you can’t find them. Chose wisely though.

Had plenty of these type parties when i was young. I think you young millenials have kind of got less dangerous as times have changed and become more 'sensible'. But i could be completely wrong. I just dont see that many rebellious types these days and more people who want to be a start up entreprenuer or influencer .... less live in the moment type people.

I'm so thankful for this show. It really helped me in my puberty. i started watching it at 14 and i had a hard puberty, so much shit happened and i saw something in every character from every generation that i could relate with. I had a eating disorder, my parents got divorced after my mother cheated on my father, we had so many bills, no money, my parents wasted almost all of our money on sueing each other, i fell in love with guys who all only used me, i gave my virginity to the wrong person, it was really rare that i didn't fall asleep while crying. i don't know if i'd be the same strong person that i am now if it wasn't for this show.

Skins literally produced actors like no other tv show or movie had ever done before or has done since. 3 have now won Oscars, 2 are in the greatest TV show of all time (GoT) and most are A list celebrities. And this was all of their first acting gigs...

I saw Skins at 13, had no friends at that time and wanted nothing more than live a life like this. I always had this series in the back of my mind and waited for “my time to come”. I moved out of my parents house and started partying/drinking/drugs at the sweet age of 16 and every now and then when I was drunk at a good party with my friends I thought of skins and how I’m living the life I wanted so bad. I’m 21 now, cut out the drugs and the excessive partying. Seeing these clips makes me laugh and cry at the same time, so nostalgic. Gonna show this my kids when they ask about my youth lol

u made it happen. this to me both repulsed and attracted me. bc the philosophical and psychological contents of the show are what come so naturally for me to inspect and feel deeply aligned with, but the sensory aspects of the parties and such, all my life as a "good" girl with a stable background, so very alone as an only child and quite in my head, are pretty new and thrilling to me -- i've only dabbled slowly starting in my young adulthood, 20 now and still easing into times in life when i can just enjoy the moment, bc i've never had the connections, drive, and ability to be Here in order to just enjoy shit like this, like u all and the brits, even living in the west. my ways of ruining health are more lazy, mentally ill, and lack of routines lmao wenfowjeiofw
it's not nostalgic and/or a good and meaningful show due to experiential relation to it, for me. it's nostalgic because of the ideas of this show that are so connected to life as a whole, for me. that's why i was so hyperfixated. i'll eventually show kids of my own too if the stars align

Same here and I'm months away from turning 30! We had good times and shit times back then, just not as worse as most teens are going through now
@@GreatWestern175 I know, I just turned 29. I was the same as Gen 1. It's nostalgic to see, even seeing the clothes brings me back to my teen years. I do feel like today's teens lack something we had, I think we were the last generation to not be so incredibly bogged down by concerns of the future. In some ways it's good to be prepared, but being so serious and depressed isn't a help necessarily. Need some optimism.

Don’t know about anyone else but I think the reason skins is so popular w teens is bc it’s so raw and relatable, most of the things I saw in skins me and my friends ended up doing a bit later on in life, we used to joke about how the same we were to the series, and now we have grown up a bit we realised that it was stupid and dangerous. Fuckin sick times tho

I read something that it was foreshadowing Chris's death as I can't remember but Tony asks Sid (or the other way round) if Chris got out at the hospital but they both seem skeptical about where he really went. I hope this helps :)

The best part of the first gen is that the parties, sex and drugs happened but they weren't the plots main driving point. It's just stuff that happened as well but it wasn't all the plot had to rely on.

i miss skins
there's no point of comparing but to me this brings so much more raw and real feelings about being a teen than anything a show as beautiful as let's say, euphoria, ever could (but to be faire this is my generation, not euphoria so). It's just the way they dress, the way they talk to each other, their problems, without being extremely realistic I thought gen 1 (esp season 1) was quite relatable. I feel like teens shows now are just teens with adults problems without parents around them watsoever (maybe that's the difference btw the uk and the us)
