In Japanese, the Blaze Accelerator cards are called Blaze Cannon. Ra's attack in the anime was called "God's Blaze Cannon" so, when they printed his "signature attack" card, it was also indirectly part of the Blaze Accelerator archetype in the OCG. Hence why it needed that clause for the TCG.
@@SimonBlueBerry Cipher Soldier was once called Kinetic Soldier until they printed an actual Cipher archtype and he was technically part of it by his OCG name. The same happened to Nurse Reficule the Fallen One and Marie the Fallen One who both got reprinted as Darklord Reficule and Darklord Marie for the same reason.
@@lilsunny7399 hold up soldier and the darklords got actual name changes though no? Or did their ocg names make them apart of the archetypes and we only got the "correct" name after the archetype was invented?
Honestly had a blast editing this one for sure! Always a pleasure getting to edit these duels! for those who notice some of the ost I usually use are from the YuGiOh Tag Force games! They have an amazing ost that fits with the guys dueling always!
This felt like an anime battle alright; OP anime effects chained to op anime effects, Gods leaving the field and coming back, 5-digit attack and LP values, board wiping effects everywhere, a real back-and-forth slugger despite the 2-0. Very entertaining!

Breaking Ruin God is such an awesome card! I love how Paul won the first duel with it, but I loved it even more when he tried to do it again and gave Alec a scare! This was by far my favorite Battle of Gods!

Well I think the tin has made up for all the years it's taken insane traps, handtraps and other tricks to make up for their lack of sheer godly powers. Also love that this duel used not one single **overpriced TCG staple**! Just clean fun. This is the kind of content that makes you subscribe and turn on the bell!
That Soul Crossing play in Duel 2 with Egyptian God Slime and the Surprise effect damage in Duel 1 of Obelisk's new support were the best parts of the this video. Also, all the LP gained from Sun God Unification was insane! Good job Paul and Alec! Love your channel!
The sheer anxiety of having Alec go down to 100 Life Points. I was waiting all match to see both statues of the God Cards on the field at the same time!

It will be a weird duel, the non slifer player will know to keep their hand size small to get the most gain from the new trap. Both will be drawing into god support, might help the other player out more.

Either way, even if it isn’t a very strategically good match up, It’s my favorite of the 3 god cards and I love the poker knights so I’m stoked to see it. Lol
It’s a shame that Obelisk doesn’t have an archetype to go alongside Slifer and Ra. But on the flip side it makes it interesting to see what kind of deck the user builds to compensate for that. 🤔

Alec in the 2nd duel: Not again. Amazing duels, I liked the first one more due to burn damage, but the 2nd one definitely had more strategies implemented and Alec fought till the very end.
Great Duels! but at the end of game 3 The True Sun God would've stopped Obelisk from attacking the turn its special summoned on either of your turns. It locks both players out so he'd get summoned, can't attack that battle phase, then he'd send himself in the end phase. crazy strong card. Regardless, another killer video from ya'll!

Try running Spooky Dogwood in Ra for extra LP gain for everytime the opponent special summons. Also try traps like Ferret Flames to clear opponent's field for Ra to make direct attacks.

This looks and feels like real ygo, the fact that you can search a card and know that you can use it and opponent must play around it its so much fun, i can even watch 2 guys i don't even know play this Type of Decks for 39minits and 35 seconds, amazing. We need ygo game type that locks you in 1 or max 2 Deck Archetypes like this duels.
Funny, watched a video that explained how Oblisek didn’t have much support cards to help search it and increase the affect of it compare to Ra, that video was posted about 2 years ago. So now they made Oblisek much better than they were before. Oblisek was my first and only god card when they were first introduced 15ish years ago.
That GY monster banister from the obelisk support could actually kill alot of top tier decks mid game clearing their entire GY support if u could get it off and it was actually what one this second duel Great video love to see these cards used the right way outside of the anime this was probably the best god card duel I've seen

Slifer was always my favourite god card until I realised how much more consistent obelisk is and also because kaiba used the card and he was my favourite character from the anime
Whenever I lock the door to my bedroom and weird noises escape, if someone asks me what I'm doing, I always shout, "I'm unifying with the sun god Ugh!"
Play 2-3 foolish burial goods, 2-3 energy max, and just get him there. They all have support in a way with the arcana knights (more so for slifer and Ra) but yeah. It's not great either way but very fun. Waiting on a errata for the god cards and we can start talking competitive.

Something about 2 Obelisk's crashing into each other resulting in both players taking damage is pretty dang anime and I'm so here for it.
The obelisk vs Ra game 3 really felt like the anime because just as you think one person has won the other does something to stay alive and comeback
