I have used lumberjack competition blend almost exclusively. Recently tried the char hickory pellets by lumberjack and I can definitely taste and smell the difference and like them very much.
Traditionally, the companies that manufacture grills don't concern themselves with making the best bbq pellet. As a small-batch bbq pellet mill - we pride ourselves on manufacturing what we think is one of the best bbq pellets currently made - Manchester Barbecue Pellets Five-Star Blend.
That was a great review Tommy. In my town we have a Safeway Grocery Store they only carry Bear Mountain Pellets which I like the Smokey favor. And we have a Ace Hardware Store they carry Treager Pellets I haven't really tried those pellets yet. I have also tried tho Pip Boss ones but I have to go out of town to a Wal-Mart Store for those. I will try the Manchester Pellets but l will order some. Thanks Tommy and Cheers.
Great comparison video, Tommy! I would love to see a comparison of the charcoal pellets, from Royal Oak, vs any wood pellet. I really like the charcoal pellets and auger jambs are basically non-existent since I started using them. Really enjoy your channel and appreciate your hard work getting this information out to us!!
Manchester Barbecue Pellets is a brand of super premium bbq pellets that Manchester Wood Pellets manufacture in Manchester, CT. We are a small-batch bbq pellet mill designed and built specifically to manufacture super premium bbq pellets at competitive price. We and Lumber Jack are the only two bbq pellet mils in the country that use round logs to make bbq pellets. We go a few steps further - we debark the logs and have a proprietary drying process that prevents pellets from over drying. Debarking gives a cleaner burning pellet with less ash content and no dirt that could be trapped in the bark.
Thanks for the honesty with the pellet quality. It seems like Pit Boss and Traeger pellets burn up a little bit faster than the more quality pellets. Burgers look good bro.🤘
i have been using pitboss grill for 3 years...... have tried ALOT of brands.. IMO Bear mountain was my fav... but Jealous devil, royal oak, knotty wood was also good. smoke tastes, smoke ring
Burgers look amazing!! There's a store near me that just started carrying Manchester Pellets but they're $30 for a 20# bag. How much they cost in Jersey near you? Amazon has them for $25 but shipping is another $10
Which store is that? Our suggested price is $18.99-$24.99 per bag but stores can charge more or less depending on the area. Check out the store locator on our website to find a store near you: www.ManchesterBarbecuePellets.com or buy on our website or on Amazon.
@@thegalleryBBQ when I called the store I misunderstood them. I thought they said they were 10# bags. They cost $18 for 20# bag. I bought 2 bags to give them a try. Gonna use this weekend. Sorry for the confusion.
They burn at a steady temperature, have lower ash content and the bag lasts longer than a big box bag of pellets for these reasons. I use Lumberjack or Bear Mountain. Good quality for the price of about 50 cents a lb. Use whatever as long as it’s not traeger. Absurdly overpriced at like $1 a lb
To truly be scientific, the test should done again swapping grills to make sure it wasn't the smoker itself or the position of the smokers with simple variables like the direction of the breeze. It did make me hungry though! LOL
Pick up some Manchester pellets and judge for yourself www.manchesterwoodpellets.com

I always like a good comparison cook. Nice comparison and both burgers looked great. Thanks Tommy!
hard to beat lumber jack. but Manchester pellets how right up there. with them.
@@ScottysBackYardBBQ Haven't tried them yet. While I'm more than happy with Lumberjack, will give these a try one day.
I’ve had a nice success with the Z Grill brand. 100% natural wood with no fillers and made in USA. Also, Camp Chef pellets
Thanks, Z Cherry has been my go to pellet.

Both made similar! Cheers

About the same.

i used Manchester pellets on a chuck roast. way better then pit boss for sure..i no longer buy pit boss pellets. great comparison
Good stuff

Everything traeger is over-priced IMHO
