Because certain sections of society don't want to accept abhishek acting well in a good film. They will discredit him at every turn, any other actor they would go ga ga but abhishek no can't have him give him a good performance and them accepting it.
The almost last scene of the song when he dejectedly stares in oblivion and then helplessly sits on the bed in his room while holding his head covered by his hands ... It truly depicts how one goes through absolutely helpless in the deep love. The state of being helpless in love shows once true feelings.
