This amp sounds great with or without an overdrive pedal on the clean channel. The clean channel is nice and crisp and clear and the overdrive channel has plenty of options for different tones. I love mine
you all probably dont care at all but does any of you know a trick to get back into an Instagram account..? I stupidly forgot my account password. I love any help you can offer me!
@Zayden Luciano i really appreciate your reply. I found the site thru google and Im in the hacking process now. Looks like it's gonna take a while so I will get back to you later with my results.
Would you say this would make a good all 'rounder amp? I'm interested in the clean channel mainly but I've always loved the Orange distorted sound (even though I don't have much use for it truthfully; but hey maybe I can learn some blues or something).
@@Screaming-Trees Yes. You can get a nice clean sound, a bluesy near-breakup sound and that heavy sound that Orange is know for...great all around amp.
What a brilliant review, two different guitars, not too much bla bla.. if every review was as good as this I would save hours in the internet. It is so good that you can actually make a decision if this is the right amp or not to buy in my opinion. Thanks
So am I right in my interpretation that this amp is meant to be used in Dirty mode mainly? As the clean channel doesn't have EQ. (Sorry for the oblivious question but I am a beginner.)
It sounds great to me over utube! It sounds very Fender-esque..well, certainly the 32 anyway. I didn't pay close attention to this sound display..I did on the 32 video tho, and it sounded frkn wonderful!
On old-school Orange I would agree, but not these new Orange. I find they're actually better than most Fenders. Fender's amp and guitar QC have dropped dramatically. The Orange TremLord has one of the best clean sounds I've ever played through.
I had one of these, the cleans where nice but lacked depth and the dirty too fizzy. It's pretty good for its size but the small speaker and cab don't do it any favours. It sounds like a little amp because it is a little amp.
You shouldn't use multiple effect pedals and mic into who knows what for an honest review. I hear ,delay, amp modeling, chorus, flange, reverbs, and who knows the eq effects of what else he's running thru, or where those mic channels are being ran thru
I have Mesa Lonestar 100W with 2x12. I'm looking for smaller practice amp that will also work for gigs. I also have a old VOX Valvetronix which I think is 15W as well. Good amp for the price, but I'm usually underwhelmed with the sound as compared to the Mesa. Do you think this Orange Rocker 15 will fit the bill? I think it would, but it might be about the same as the Valvetronix in terms of versatility. What I had in mind was more of a 20-30W amp with a 1x12. Either way, I think it would sound better than the Valvetronix.
PinchTune I have a new Rocker 15 combo I just got, and swapped the speaker for a 10” 30w Greenback. It is an amazing gigable amp! If you need more power, next stop in the tube range is a TH30 combo, also killer. However it weighs twice as much as the rocker 15.
@@miksilplik Hi, thanks for the feedback. I ended up jumping a little higher than I had originally planned and ordered a Mesa Mark V:35. Been super happy with it so far.
What’s it matter if clean or distorted tones come first lmao? As long as both are shown I see no issue with one coming before the other. “Clean tones first! The way it ought to be.” Some of you people are so damn strange.

It seems to me that it's not worth buying this bare bones amp - no reverb, only 10" speaker - when the Rocker 32 is only $400 (AUD.) more...What do you who have played and owned these amps have to say on the matter?
I sold mine after buying this, I bought a top quality spring reverb channel and actually prefer this for cleans. With single coils it's got plenty of headroom. I have an eqd 3 hand eq and boost and that helps a lot. You can make the clean channel sound like fender (scoop the mids a bit and the bass), or give it a biting marshall crunch. It's just a literal blank canvas crying out for some paint. The drive channel is equally as versatile, as it sounds good both barely crunchy and balls out and all between .
I totally mod'ed my Blues Jr. within and inch of it's life... And I am SO TRYING to love it. That said... This amp is WAY too fizzy. Where's the cruch? I guess I'm just a Marshall guy... Hey.. I'm trying. Give me some credit for that.
I want to like the Blues jnr. The newer Blues jnr IV with the A-Type seem an improvement on the older ones. I have the Tweed jnr iii and it lacks clean headroom. The Orange does notm
I swear I dint see why you guys like your tone knob, it's a tone sucker and when your useing it it makes a potential great sound seem lifeless and dull, come on guitars weren't meant to have tone knobs that wht your treble knob on your amp is for, let those dang guitars breath for god sake.
Lol what?? It's almost like different styles of music call for different tones. Lots of jazz guitar tones have more highs rolled off, so using the tone knob can really help. Or maybe for cleans you want a fully open sound, but when you switch on your overdrive you want to tame the highs a bit. "Just use the treble knob on the amp" While you're playing, do you think it's easier to use the guitar's tone knob or the amp's treble knob? Do you know that some amps don't even have EQ? If you don't want to use your tone knob then don't, or remove it. For other people, it can be very useful, open your mind a little bit.
@@KEVBOYMUSIC I'm 58 years old I've plenty of time to think it over and I feel the same way, if you like your tone knob then use it, but me I've never heard a guitar with the tone knob turned on that sounded good, and yes I know some amps dont have an eq but the tone knob of a guitar doesn't add bass or take away treble or vise versa it it uses a capacitor to muffle the sound it's like singing with a small pillow over your mouth, but like I said that just me. I've heard it in many different guitars and it all works the same way and to me it doesn't improve or enhance anything. When leo fender put a tone knob on the tele it was meant to try to make the tele sound like a bass, because there wasnt much of a choice when it came to bass guitars back then.
@@bradhignite8384 "I'm old so I'm not going to change." That's a sad sentiment. I'm not young either and I could't begin to list all the things that I used to dislike that I now like. I can guarantee that there are plenty of guitar recordings/live performances that you've liked that didn't have their tone knob all of the way open. You do know not all tone knobs are the same? Most take away treble, some do add bass. Just because it was made for one reason doesn't mean it can't be used in another way, some of the most popular technology is exactly that. You do know singers all of the time modulate the tone of their voice to be brighter in certain situations and darker in certain situations right? I don't know how much you know about synthesizers, but on synthesizers, arguable the most important part, and the part that gives each synth it's own defining character is the filter. It's basically a big knob that as you turn it, it filters off the highs and makes the sound more muffled. Why in God's name would anyone use it? Why wouldn't everyone just leave it wide open? Because sometimes the music calls for a darker tone. Not every sound always should be totally open and bright. Listen to any jazz record with guitar and that will become pretty obvious.
@Witssen Hey, I just bought a Tele with a new grease bucket circut tone knob, comes standard in all fender performer series guitars. So cool! Really works. Very useful in all genres and styles of music. Tone knob rolls of the highs and does not muddy up. Super useful in all positions, amazing variation while keeping the sound wide open and on top. Never say never. Tone knobs are New (and very useful), We are Old ! At least I feel old when I think I know it all and things keep getting better. Lol.

I have always thought this amp sounded great, especially the clean channel sans EQ. Everything about this one is outstanding. A tone machine.
This is the best review and sounds of the Rocker 15❤
Like watching you do demos. Good work!

Are the tubes on this easy and safer to change than old school tube amps ? Or bigger tube amps
oh, it's orange orange

Get an eq pedal

I see this shit all the damn time. “Now lets hear what the OD channel sounds like” then they proceed to click on 15 different pedals,.
I prefer to eat Oranges rather than play them. But, given the cool features and tone of this amp, I may try one.
@William Rackham LMAO!
@William Rackham Scurvy is the worst.....
The guy I could not stand because of his guitar face was Freddy DeMarco. He would play anything with that amazing painful look. Too much.

the 32 doesn't have the headroom to bedroom switch tho
a reverb pedal will also do the job i guess

buy a pedal
