@@AndyTheESLGuy haha even though the content is great 👍👍
Thanks for sharing,it's awesome!and I wonder the number activity, could you explain more?I am not very clear
Thanks! The number game is for young kids that are learning numbers 1 - 10. Put 2 sets of the cups at the other side of the classroom and ask 2 students to stand at the other side. Then you shout a number and say go. The kids have to run find the correct number, say it, then sit down. The fastest student is the winner. Hope that helps. You can also play the same game with happy, sad angry faces on the cup :-) hope that helps.
@@AndyTheESLGuy Thanks for your reply!I see your video, there are 2 cups, and one with hole, how does that work?
@@morganliu2407 you just have to cut a hole in 1 cup then put the other cup inside that cup with the numbers written on it. Just make sure you get the positioning of the numbers correct!
So you need 4 cups in total for 2 students to play
@@AndyTheESLGuy 2 students PK,When I say a number, see who is fast to show the number is the winner, right?
Clever use of magnets. I like how students can combine a time and a destination in order to compose a sentence with the correct verb conjugation for variable tenses.
E.g. "I was in Canada last week." vs "I were going at Canada last week."
You're also teaching them the national flags at the same time. Good stuff.
It's good to point out that the flags can be moved as well, not just the eyes.
In activities where there's multiple sets like this, I sometimes like to make everything mobile. For example, the timelines could be written on strips of laminated paper that are held in place with magnetic clips. If you get a few sets like this, you'll have a LOT of flexibility. One example where that might be handy would be in telling time.
I will be going to school on the 7th, at 7PM, on a Thursday, in July.
at and on and in are colocated with calendar dates, hours, days of the week.
I like your teaching approach. You've been creative and thoughtful with this. Teaching benefits a lot from having activities, resources, and approaches like this.
Thank you! I'll try expanding it more next time I play 😁
Looks super goofy. I love it.
Cheers Shane! Long time no talk man! How're things?
Andy - The ESL Guy I’m feeling amazing! I took some courses to get my mental state back on track - I was in the wilderness for quite a while, but am welcoming myself back! How’re you?

Cheers! Yeah came up with the googly eyes game myself, the cup number game was based on the same game I saw a teacher play but she used different emotion faces.
😄I think you should name him 'Rolling eyes Dan'.
