Jolan tru. Sad to hear of Joanne Linville passing. I got to speak with her several times at Trek conventions in the 90's. She was a wonderful person to speak to. She was down to Earth ( Romulus ) and didn't have an attitude unlike many Star Trek actors and actresses. I am typing this while watching your video. I have been a huge Romulan fan since the 70's and can't wait to finish your video.

Shame to hear about Linville. She showed that the Romulans were much more than Vulcan clones. I always liked to think that Spock and the Commamder had a secret relationship which explained why her fought so hard on reunification. He wanted to help his love return home.
Now that would have been a great story arch. I enjoyed how you used good old stubborn Romulan pride as the reason they were behind technologically. And the in fighting with the military and T'l shiar just makes it seem so TNG that it is hard to imagine it going down any other way.

Curious…the snippets showing the romBoP flying with TOS enterprise, and the combat, doesn’t seem familiar form any of the remastered episodes… Guessing a fan film of some sort? Name?
Is there any reading material stating why the klingons took the bird of prey name or was it meant for the original ideal in st 3 Kruge stole the ship from the Romulans and installed klingons software.
Will this also connect to the Klingon/Romulan alliance? My own headcanon for that is that the alliance was entered into by House Mokai under L’Rell and was directly involved in the creation of the new D7. The Klingons were eventually betrayed by the Romulans, however, who used the alliance as a means of gaining access to and attempting to seize the time crystals of Boreth. In the resulting battle, the crystals mysteriously disappeared via some type of temporal displacement, likely engineered by the monks to protect them. House Mokai was disgraced and disbanded for their negligence, and the Klingon hatred of Romulans was firmly established. That’s why House Mokai doesn’t exist in later series and why time crystals aren’t mentioned either.

The original bird of prey from Balance of Terror is one of my favorite starship designs because it is such a simple and somehow menacing design.

The Romulans have always been my favorite Trek villains and their ships some of my favorites also. Definitely looking forward to part 2.
