Ron, Thank you. I never would have considered this ball based on other reviews. But as a lower rev rate higher axis player this makes WAY more sense for me than a lot of other balls out there!

Your deep dive ball reviews are absolutely amazing. Don't cut them short just to be easy to watch. Give us all the info you can possibly glean about these balls, so we can make the best purchasing decisions. Stupendous production and info sharing. The very most usable balls are the ones that match up for the pattern and the bowler at 4700 grit, because you can get used to the shot longer, and make gradual moves with the transition, with confidence that you can strike from a lot of different spots. This ball is every bit a match for the Roto Grip Attention Star. I hope bowlers recognize what a fine piece Storm has designed.

Also, the POV of the ball as it hooks with the clear view is the lane boards is fantastic. That zoom in actually lets me see the ball motion despite an untrained eye

It’s nice to have someone as knowledgeable as you Boeing from the left side. My game is on the lower rev side and your explanations really helped me understand what I was looking for. I also love seeing the track after you throw. It really helps me see that differences Keep it up!

Thank you Ron! I wholeheartedly agree with others here, in that your unique approach to the tech is refreshing. Especially, in showing us HOW we create those error margins and strike windows. First-rate. Please keep these coming. As for this Coil, you've convinced me that it will be able to fit my game.

I was hesitant to change surface on brand new bowling balls. After watching your videos I realized how important it can be. Cracked the surface as you say on my new VEBO and it created a lot more area. Great info. Thanks!

im a high rev guy and i think the over under means if i throw the ball down 15 and it goes light but then you move a bit right and then it overhooks, the coil will have the cover where it happens less or simple what you did with the surface change and it made the difference. good stuff love the vids

Storm has a quiz for seeing what bowler you are and I know I have a low Rev rate and high ball speed according to the monitors I throw a 17.5-18 mph and on other days 16-17 mph . But I am a typical lefty up the boards and more speed then revs.but I am going to be making an appointment to have my pap found also not with my tilt and rotation.

How do you know when you are using too much surface? I understand scuffing the polish to combat the over under but when do you know you need to bring the grit higher on your balls when youre close to the pocket but not striking?

What would you say is the best way to figure out the surface on a ball like this that you need. Is there a rule of thumb based on your revs and ball speed or just a watch and adjust situation during practice. I'm thinking about this ball for league but in practice I might get two or three shots total if I'm standing in line. If I stop to adjust the surface on a ball that might be the only shot I get, and there really isn't an opportunity to test the ball on league oil outside of league games so looking for tips to get balls ready in advance if there's anything that comes to mind.

I looked at this ball and passed thinking exactly as you stated, it wasn't for me. Now I want to ask you if you would say it is for a low rate rate bowler who throws it 16 mph? Asking (basically) what kind of shape I can get from this ball?

    • @Ctdbowling

Ron I am a loyal subscriber, I am older and throw 14 lbs. If I throw SPI the 14 lb balls have a higher RG, at what point is a higher RG giving me a different reaction then a 15lb ball? Example the TNT Infused is 2.47 RG at 15 and 2.54 at 14. Lastly, definitely need to get on your regional staff. Thanks for your insights and contributions.

I want to get this ball and believe in storm but NAAAAH. If it isn’t moving like the hammer effect I don’t want it. Altered reality quit around the corner, eternity quit around the corner, and I’m expecting the same out of this unfortunately. A good ball hitting the pocket but only running over 8 pin bothers me even if it strikes.
