Look at Sydney international... Male winner got $83,650 prize money... Female winner got $190,732 prize money... That's fair!! I'm all for equal pay between men and women on all tour events, but can someone explain to me why when men are out there for 5 sets they should get the same money as women who play 3 sets? You don't expect someone who works 4 hours a day to be paid the same as someone who works 2 hours a day. I'm sure the current atp tour sells way more tickets than the current Wta tour which is lacking consistent quality players. As I'm sure that in the early 2000s which was the golden era of women's tennis, they were selling more tickets than the men's. Should compensation be tied to number of ticket sales?
