Me too! I never understood why people get so worked up about ANOTHER PERSONS collection! 🤡 I am mostly interested in what palettes (products) are kept in a collection. IMO that says a lot. Secondly - I love to be nosey and see everyone’s collection.

For real. It’s so rude how some people will act over someone else’s collection. I haven’t finished the video yet but she doesn’t have to get rid of a single one if she doesn’t want to! I love seeing all the palettes opened up because these videos give me ideas on either what to use in my own collection to recreate color stories or give me some new palettes to add to my list to buy! Even if she decluttered none, it wouldn’t matter to me!

What struck me while watching this (and I’m barely halfway through) is dang, you know your eyeshadows! It’s so impressive to me that you can remember so much about how ALL those palettes and formulas performed. You clearly put a great deal of effort into your channel and it shows! ☺️
That’s the difference between hobby interest and brand loyalty! Angie keeps me interested in makeup because she isn’t just saying she loves things, she being honest.

So true! My cat was laying on my travel makeup kit on Monday and he messed up all the products that I spent like 40 minutes organizing. Plus I am allergic to kitties but I don’t care 😂 I’m like great now the cat fur is all over my makeup brushes but he looked so cute when he was laying on my stuff I couldn’t even bring myself to move him. Lol. Damn cute kitties!!

Video idea: everyday for a week take a pallet out of "the basket of shame" (the untouched pallets). You get some use out of the pallets and we get to see 7 looks. :)

Yes, but I have to watch as much as I can, lol. Love your videos Angie! Thank you for always being honest about brands (like Melt) because some people act like that brand is the be all, end all and honestly, so many indie brands have left them in the dust (for a cheaper price point)!!

I love it to just look through everything I own. Reminding myself why I bought a certain foundation or swatching palettes I haven't used in a while, etc.
Makeup is so much fun! Not only when using it, but also looking at it. The packaging, the different colors and so on.
My favorite part about watching your declutters is that you let us know why you are decluttering your items. Sometimes you don't get to hear if there's just a better way of getting the same looks while watching declutter videos. I really appreciate the way you let us know what's going on 😀
Angie, I needed this video so much. I am going through the worst depressive episode of my life (I'll spare the details; don't wanna trauma dump on you!) And I really really am loving you and your channel. Today I woke up to this and it actually inspired me to get out of bed for the first time in a week. Love your channel and will forever watch every video you come out with. 🩷 I'm 24, but I always say I want to be you when I grow up haha. Have a great holidays! just reading your comment brought tears. I've been there. I would love to...give you hugs, make you a meal, wash your sheets, vacuum/sweep, pay a bill, all thise things that were impossible for me to do when I was there over 20 years ago. It does gets better and my heart goes out to you

Sorry for what you are going through. I’m 39 with kids and married, going through rough times too. I am forced to get out of bed daily - because I have to, there is no saying no , but I will recluse and ignore everyone who tries to contact me to no end. It sucks. Sending you good vibes ❤

Angy I think that if you have not used a palette for so long you shouldn't force yourself to do so, there are tons of palettes in your collection that bring you joy and you love ♡
100% agree. You don't have to try everything and if it's untouched, you can possibly donate it to a women's shelter or something.
I counted 387 palettes to begin with (+3 face palettes) and 71 (+3 bh cosmetics) decluttered. What a collection!
Your kaleidos palette is one of the ones that got away for a lot of people. I'm happy to have it. Your cat sounds so cute. 😆
I’d love to see a Last Chance video where you do a full face of things that just barely made the cut on the declutters this year to give sort of a final verdict on them.
It would also be great to see an eyeshadow palette Battle Royale where you put two palettes you kept with similar color stories against each other (ex: Ace Beaute Palettopoly VS Glamlite Barbie or Colourpop In the Springs VS Glamlite Frosted Flakes). Kind of a theoretical ruthless declutter. This one would be great help to someone who thinks both look very appealing but can only purchase one of them.
It’s interesting to watch this and look back at all the new releases I thought I wanted and now see again and I am not upset that I don’t have them. This is an excellent round up of all the beautiful possibilities. Thank you.
I love how you don't declutter too much just for the sake of decluttering. People should understand that decluttering is just either adding trash to the world or just transferring trash to another person! We should learn to keep things once we aquire them 😄
How is giving a palette you arent ever going to use, "giving trash yo another person" - if I know I'll never use a palette again I'd rather a friend gets use out of it. It also may prevent them from going out and making purchases.
@@fairydust_and_glitter no one needs to purchase makeup, I myself buy my makeup knowing I don't need it and it will spoil. So I keep them for sentimental purposes and even use them as wall art after, since the outer package almost always is a work of art! Also, if the palette has been used, obviously it will expire earlier for the person given the makeup. That's what I mean "giving trash to another person" basically giving them the responsibility of an expired product. 🤷
@@karlylo nowhere did I say the word "need" - but if my friend Claire tells me she is wanting to buy a purple eyeshadow palette and I have one I am not using anymore, if I give it to Claire it means she then does not buy one next week.
@@fairydust_and_glitter those are semantics. 😮💨 It would be great if the one given is brand new, but if it is used, obviously it will become "trash" sooner rather than later. And that responsibility will be on them, either the recycling or the clutter. Just my thoughts. 😅
I love these videos because most of the time, these palettes are only available online so I’m hesitant to order anything. These videos are very informative and straight to the point. I’m impressed with your knowledge of your huge collection. You are my go-to channel for eyeshadow palettes. It’s so refreshing to see someone not afraid of colour, and I like that you give indie brands their due. I don’t blame you for not decluttering everything. They’re all so pretty!!! 😮
I love a declutter! But mostly bc I love seeing people’s collections and hear their thoughts and opinions on what they really enjoyed and what was forgettable or just didn’t stand the test of time. The longer the declutter the better!

I just decluttered my makeup for the second time yesterday. It took 4 hours but it felt so good! My 4 year old is so excited for the full box of makeup she gets to have now ❤ it feels so good to go through makeup that you don’t use anymore.

i watch almost all of your videos, one of the very very few channels i do this with, so i kinda know how your collection looks like but this video is definitely one of the highlights at the end of the year. so fun to see so many palettes!!

May I ask that you do a Reel/TikTok using an older palette 1 or 2 times a month? Seeing you show the ColourPop RBK palette made me want to see more of your creativity with older palettes.
I think it would be a good reminder for US to also revisit our collections rather than focusing on buying the next thing. Great declutter...as always! 🥰
I do that, not too long ago I did a reel with a discontinued palette, so I am already doing this :)
Love the ultra long video today. The productive energy came through for me... cleaned my washer, did a load of clothes, vacuumed, and selected my health insurance for next year.

Literally everyone called that palette "Angels" of Illumination at first. I thought the brand misprinted the palette name on the packaging. 😄 I think they named it "Angles" because it's mostly duo/multichromes and the shades shift different colors from different angles of light. 💕💕

@@karamckaraton Because a lot of times beauty RUclipsrs need to compare them to new palettes. For example, let's say she decluttered a palette she kept for reference and then the brand released a new palette that looks quite similar. If she had the palette then she could compare and let others know whether to buy the new one or not. Sometimes they keep it to compare formulas too.
I remember you reviewing those BH Birthstone Palettes, it was one of my favorite series on your channel and I looked forward to that video every month! Still have a couple of those in my collection, they were so good

Agree about MELT!! LET ME SAY, THESE ARE YOURS ANGIE! Declutter doesn't mean a particular NUMBER!!! Getting rid of 1 is still decluttering! 🤣 I'm here just to get reference for palettes I never got and forgot about, that way I can grab a couple that will be on sale now.

I love, love, love these declutters-not because of what you get rid of, but because I love seeing the palettes that I might want (I ended up picking up that Huda jaguar one). Thanks for going over the palettes with us; I always feel like I’m gossiping with a friend (who also loves eyeshadows.)

I'm always so excited when you drop your end of the year eyeshadow palette collection. Not only are you informative about your shadows, but you are also very entertaining! I've had to click off of so many eyeshadow palette collection videos bc they will just say "This is whatever palette" hold the palette up for a few sec and go to the next without any thoughts or opinions. That is just so boring to me lol. Also I'm SO MAD that I missed out on the BH Citrine palette, it looks sooooo pretty. Wonderful video I'll probably watch it again. 😀

The Unearthly Capricorn palette is one of my more heavily used palettes because it's perfect for darkening a pastel look while keeping it pastel. My favorite Unearthly palettes though are definitely Don't Be Jelly, Hauntingly Glamorous and Lore.

I listen to declutter videos every night when I go to sleep…not to see what they get rid of, but to see what they loved enough to buy. I love plain old collection videos just as much.

I don’t know why people say anything. No matter if you declutter hundreds or zero…. It effects none of us. It’s your makeup, not ours. World would be a better place if people didn’t worry about things that don’t effect them.
I always get more annoyed by the comments chastising people for not decluttering more than I do by the RUclipsr not decluttering. It's not their collection, why do they care so much? I get it's satisfying for them to see the difference but it's not their collection and you clearly know your collection and you know if you'd regret decluttering something more than they would.

I declutter my pallets once a year, and I may declutter 5, and I have around 100 in my collection. I completely understand why you don't declutter more. I am brand loyal also, but I also use several pallets, sometimes up to five, to create looks. I love mixing them. So personally I appreciate a big collection
How do you do it without having repeats? For example when I look at Tarte Toasted Marshmallow and Urban Decay Naked Heat I am seeing the same color story.
@@robinluettke8732if you arent a one pallet look girlie, mix and match your faves in the UD with faves from other palettes. i also try to force myself to use colors in palettes ive never used, im a neutral girl with some colorful color stories and sometimes i struggle finding a new look because im anxious to play in new colors

I’m thinking you should pick one of these say,every month ,randomly! Then do a look- just for fun! I saw so many that would be so beautiful and a change from always new ones-💖
I have lots of Natasha denona midis and minis, and the my dream palette is by far my absolute favorite! I’m so glad to have it. So many people love mini nude, I don’t like it. I don’t like the mini glam either. The midi glam is ok. The bronze and zendo I absolutely love, but they’re too warm for me for winter. The retro is almost too purply. It’s nice, but I don’t like wearing it all the time. The love is too colorful, mini biba is good, I do not have the large biba, but the tones of the shimmers just don’t look so appealing to me in the large biba. But this, my dream palette, really truly is my dream palette! Warm enough for summer, cool/neutral enough for winter, glam enough and casual enough, and fun enough with the purples and duochrome. It really truly is my dream palette. Everywhere the other palettes were lacking, this one has it!
I love the ND Zendo palette. I use it all the time. I have a very light pink cool skin tone and blue eyes which I know isn’t that common of a combo but the Zendo shade of eyeshadows are just perfect for me.
The Warrior 2 is an AMAZING face pallete. I use it for eyeshadow too, but I absolutely love it as a face pallete.
I've seen those Christmas Oden's Eye palettes for sale on Mercari for up to $400 per palette. I really, really hope no one is giving those people that kind of $$$. So predatory :(

You should do a palette a day video! Where every day you use a different palette in your collection so at least then they’re getting used and we can all see them! Or a palette a week where you do different looks with a palette each week and show us at the end!

Oooo...you should *really* think about giving the Culture palette a try! It is my all time favorite Juvia's Place palette. Dark purple "Edo" works beautifully for me, and "Ife" is such a gorgeous light green shimmer! I definitely would love to see a "using unused palettes in my collection" video. 🙂❤️

The Natasha Denona Metropolis palette isn’t discontinued. It’s still available on her website, but not on Sephora.
Edit: the Sunrise palette isn’t discontinued either. Sephora has phased some of her palettes out, but they’re still available on the ND website.

@Mary With The Long Hair it is a beautiful palette I find myself lusting after it even though I have shades similar in my collection... I do like the cream to formula and hear its really good in that palette.. I honestly think it should be a permanent palette really
I know this is a older Video but Angie Hun they are your Palettes and You don't have to get rid of none of them if you don't want to, It just ruffles my Feathers when people feel like you should part with their Palettes or give them away, I don't care if your rich , poor or whatever, but Self Entitlement is uncalled for!
