Feel you on the Journey Together, especially for the booster boxes. In what universe should they be selling out immediately at MSRP. And the amount of people who actually believed the box topper was some sort of exclusive to the PC, and still believe it, is mind boggling. Every store is getting these enhanced versions.

I personally love the N’s Reshiram promo so much that I was willing to preorder at MSRP - even if this set tanks and reprints (and I hope it does so I can get more!) I’ll still love the promo inside. What are these comments? They fr think you are mad from the preorders lmao. Not everyone in the Hobby wants to preorder a Set where we barely have seen any cards. This is basically only interesting for the traders who are planing to flip them shortly after release for profit (even that is not 100% risk free). For the „normal“ collectors and long time investors it makes absolutley no sense to pre order a booster box for 160$. There will be a time in the next 6-12 months where we can get normal booster boxes for 100-130$ with ease. The Promo from the PC exclusive booster box has to be worth ~50$ so its reasonable to buy them. Thats just gambling at this point.
It’s all good, I’ve past on this set multiple times already, at lower prices. If people wanna put their money into this, just means less competition to build my Prismatic position over the next 12-24 months.
Would be an interesting video to see how sword and shield sets Popped and Flopped in Covid era to maybe contrast how these latter S&V sets might pop and flop with the blind spending strategies being so rampant today Would be an interesting/insightful deep dive to pinpoint where we might be in the cycle. I knew when you were bragging about staying up til 3am for prismatic restocks, you were gonna miss this PC ETB. It was worth it tho, 30 ETBs by staying up is a good trade off to miss these. Booster boxes will be available with the box topper for MSRP don’t worry about those

We are closing in on peak irrationality. And all it’s going to take is for us to get a few giant reprints and have a Vivid Voltage/Battle Styles/Shining Fates situation where people can’t move their product for years, or have to do it at a loss.

This is a main set that isn’t surging sparks. Yea you could speculate the set would be popular because it was a pikachu set which has massive familiarity to a lot of people. And journey together will be good but, how good. I am being more cautious with this one. May even skip it for the reprint down the road when hype dies for this set
Shrouded Fable is not a good bar to set. SF is one of the worst s&v sets. As a matter of fact, the set is so bad that the highlight of the set is the greninja and Kingdra, and they are promo cards 😅
