Once, at a party, Burton collided with a very large, overweight woman. She yelled at him, "You almost knocked me down!". He snapped, and said with that voice, "Madam. A Sherman tank couldn't knock you down."

Richard Burton, a.k.a. Jenkins voice was magnificent, but that also could be said of Anthony Hopkins and perhaps one of my personal favourites was Wynnford Vaughan -Thomas.🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🇬🇧🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Wynford had an amazing career, as a journalist in the war, he flew over Germany on a bombing raid, landed at Anzio with the allied forces, landed in the invasion of the South of France, and witnessed Belsen concentration camp, a wonderful broadcaster.

@@pauldurkee4764 I saw it about two weeks ago, the original world at War 1973 he in brief commentary spoke about him dealing with general Patton going through Burgundy and the eloquence and informative way he had a connect with the general was absolutely amazing? 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🇬🇧🇺🇸

Yes, he played Alan Faulkner, the leader of the band of mercenaries.
Underated film with a wonderful cast, sadly all of them departed now.

One of his worst films - done purely for money - but yes he was in it.

I suppose you could say he was playing himself, drinking heavily and doing something purely for the financial benefit.
