Great to see you back Chris. Last I saw that you were off on holiday to New Zealand. I hope that you are in good health and best wishes for the new Year! Looking forward to your adventures in 3D printing.😎
Hi Chris, I have to admit, my first interest id armour but coming in at a very close second place is aircraft,, so I will be looking forward whst ever you throw at us, hope you are keep safe and well, great thst you are back on YT, best regards from a Kiwi living in Melbourne, Les
Good lord, you're not fooling around to start a WNW Felixstowe kit! Now I've got to check some of your newer videos (I just subscribed to your channel) and see what progress you've made on the big flying boat over the past 7 months! Cheers!
Welcome back mate. Glad to hear that your health is improving and that you have returned to show us the beautiful work you do with those aircraft models. I absolutely enjoy seeing you do the model kits in flight as it is definitely rare. Again welcome back.
Gday Chris, GREAT to see you back and the new format looks super. Can't wait to see you build out that first big boy and observe the rigging. You've got me converted to wheels up now. Except for a few dioramas I've planned out for Battle of Britain schemes. I did find the Airfix stands you mentioned for my 1/72 Spitfires but they are discontinued, I might have to give eBay a go but they are rare there too so I'll have to follow your lead on ideas. As always give Ms. Penny's a treat, glad she's not out chasing the chickens :-) Standing by for your new site format and those great builds. Cheers from the colonies, Bob.
Cool new format, with lots of exciting builds to come! Was hoping to build along with the Roden Felixstowe in 1:72, but guess it's now more of a backburner project. So glad to hear you are doing well after last year's hiccups. All the best to you and your endeavors.
I'm happy to see more model aircraft - nice to see those over model cars. There's plenty I'd like to watch and learn there. Will keep notifications on! Here's to a year of good health.
I stared at that 1/72 Roden box, then looked at that big ol' Wingnuts Wings fuselage/hull, and my mind kinda melted for a second. Ya sneaky... I'm just as interested in seeing that helicopter finished as the Felixstowe, so it looks like I have some good viewing coming up. Thanks Chris
Welcome back. I enjoy the build vids, but especially like your thoughts on the hobby. Your ‘stash beyond life expectancy’ video partly inspired my own channel/podcast.
Good to see you're still going at it! I got this big ole flying boat lined up for somewhere possibly 2024 too so will be keeping my eyes peeled for your findings.
@@beckersmodels I've found I enjoy that aspect of these WW1 aircraft. modern jets are a bit clinical whereas in these early aircraft there's a lot going on with different materials being used.
Great to see you back at it and focussing on things YOU want to do Chris. Will you still be doing comps? Looking forward to whatever you want to show us in the future!!
Thanks Andrew - yes still doing comps and I'm hoping to get away a bit more if I can, maybe down to the uncivilized states further south, but definitely will be at QMHE this year...hopefully with one or two BIG entries!
G'day Chris, great choice of models to kick off 2024. I've not done any research into a Felixstowe, but I'm guessing they weren't big into armour plating to protect the crew. I suppose their counter for that was lots of MGs. Still, you got to feel for the poor bloke in the upper wing gun postition; total 360 d exposure! I'm also interested in seeing how your big Stallion will build. Apart from a Chinook, I've not done a big chopper. I look forward to learning more about our hobby from watching your videos. BTW, a good move dicing social media, generally, it's become a cesspit. All the best of health to you and your family. Cheers, Bill.
@@beckersmodels G'day Chris, I'm really keen on learning more ways to display my aircraft in-flight. I'm certainly no expert but the first thought I had about your Stallion was, perhaps, a clear plastic rod at the apex of the rotor assembly either attached, at an angle, to a ceiling or the top of a partially 'enclosed' diorama. It's probably a rubbish idea but it might get you or someone else thinking 'outside the box'. 🤔 Cheers, Bill.
Yeah the old bar stoll! I lent him that kit for a review, not to fix up, clean up the flash and Airfix mismolds and get it all to fit together nicely.....wait a minute - there's a plan! I've already bought a replacement for him and will get this one back!
Sorry mate saw this within the hour that you posted and I've been slack in posting. First off, great to see you posting a video, your content is always entertaining and balanced. Secondly really looking forward to the new format, I too only really engage in a video that is that 10-15min mark (unless it's really special). All the best for 2024, hopefully that CH-53E gets off the bench by the end of the year. Oh and you might have inspired me to try and build a Qantas livery 737 or 747
Awesome! Planes in flight is something I want to do more, most kits arent designed for it and that bums me out. I have a bunch of the tamiya 1/32 kits though, and they allow that. I haven't really tried modifying one before though. I also just hate painting landing gear, and they are always annoying to get the right angle.
Good to see you back Chris, You are looking really well, I'm ready to follow along all the builds, I see you had to go out and snaffle another Heraules or was this filmed prior to Harry laying his paws on it.
Yeah the bugger went and built that one I filmed that bit a week ago. I bought him another one to violate, he's done the hard work of cleaning up the Airfux flash so I'll put it together!
Hi Chris, I've missed you. Sounds like a great new format, though my attention span might be a bit longer! It sounds like you have some great ideas so I'll come on the journey with you. One thing, I've noticed over the years is that stationary props spoil the illusion a bit (I notice that P51 behind you). Have you ever attempted to do anything to simulate rotating props or rotors, any sucess? Talking of rotors, I notice your rotor head has some of the blade cuffs upside down. All the blades have their feathering links on the same side (ahead or behind according to AC) so they should follow each other around. I think Sirks are normally anticlock viewed from above. I recently built an Airfix S55 and that was one thing I had to wrestle with. PS I used to work on Helicopters so it is a special interest of mine. PPS Happy new year.
Thanks mate - yes the stationary props is the biggest spoiler, and I will be motorising everything from now on, with 3D printed mounts for micro motors and also I'm designing flight stands that have the switch/battery inside. Yeah the rotor head isn't 100% accurate at all - but I'm trying to follow the references as much as possible. Its that whole "how much effort to put in=what will people/I notice" thing but I really appreciate any feedback especially from you guys that worked on the real thing!
Hey Becker, I recently scanned about 50 original Felixstowe F.2, F.3, and F.5 blueprints, and I've photographed around 550 other Felixstowe drawings. I found that the Wingnut Wings kit contains some inaccuracies. Would you like me to send them to you? Let me know if you're interested.
Good to see you back Chris. Here's to health and happiness in 2024 and I'm looking forward to following your modelling journey.
Thanks Phil!
Lookin' forward to where you go with these, Chris! Great to see you back at it.
Thanks mate !
Glad you may have found or working on a more comfortable to keep showing us what your up to keep doing you man ✌️
Most definitely!

Good lord, you're not fooling around to start a WNW Felixstowe kit! Now I've got to check some of your newer videos (I just subscribed to your channel) and see what progress you've made on the big flying boat over the past 7 months! Cheers!
Thanks for the sub Mark - unfortunately I havent done much with that Felixstowe as of yet, but hope to get back to it soon!
I just checked your site yesterday thinking I haven't seen a vid from you in a bit. Great to see you back. Have always enjoyed your plane videos.
Thanks Keith, yep back and ready to go!
Great to see you back Chris and great new logo from Harry , looking forward to more
Thanks 👍
Always nice to see a friendly face Becker! 🤜🏻🤛🏻☕️
Good to have you back! Looking forward to building through 2024 together !
Thanks mate me too!

Thanks Nick!
Great to see you again, looking forward to future videos
Thanks!
So nice to have you back. You post whatever you want and I will watch. Love what you do.
Thanks Adam I really appreciate getting messages like this again!
Goof to see you back Chris.
Thanks Stuart!

Again welcome back.
Wow thanks for the very nice comments - glad to be back! Inflight forever - I will be making up some shirts soon....
So good to see you back Chris. 👏Fingers crossed you are now in better health. Looking forward to your updates. 👍
I'm slowly getting there, better drugs and food and more exercise!
Welcome back Chris.
Thanks Mike

Thanks Bob, glad to have your support! I'll pat Penny for you...
New format looks great. Agree with the video length too.
Thanks - yeah its about my limit, I just don't watch anything over 20 minutes these days...unless its super special
Hey Chris - wonderful to see you back again, good luck with the new format, cheers Liam
Thanks Liam, I appreciate the luck, hopefully it will maximize my bench time and enjoyment! Cheers Chris
I built that A-Model Starship a few years ago . Its a challenge , as most , I mean all of their kits are but looks great when finished .
Good to know Chris - I wasn't deluding myself when I got it, having "assembled" their StarshipOne from what seemed like soap!

Thanks Scott - yeah never say never with that "little" Felixstowe - I duck and weave between the "manscale" and "one true scale" stuff...
welcome back chris. great to see the stallion getting attention again 👍
Thanks Paul, yep the Stallion is back..
Great to see you back. Looking forward to following along with the adventure! Ken
Thanks Ken!
I'm happy to see more model aircraft - nice to see those over model cars. There's plenty I'd like to watch and learn there. Will keep notifications on! Here's to a year of good health.
Many thanks - and yes to good health, which means less drinking paradoxically!

Oh yes the helo and the Felix are my top two bangers to finish this year sometime, but I wont be rushing it, just enjoying the process!
Welcome back. I enjoy the build vids, but especially like your thoughts on the hobby. Your ‘stash beyond life expectancy’ video partly inspired my own channel/podcast.
Awesome! Thank you!
Format is great! All for it!
Thanks mate!
@@beckersmodels And I LOVE the shirt! 😂
Can't wait for the updates Chris
Thanks Brodie should have something this week to share.
Good to see you're still going at it! I got this big ole flying boat lined up for somewhere possibly 2024 too so will be keeping my eyes peeled for your findings.
Its been fun so far, started detail painting the inside and will start on oils soon....
@@beckersmodels I've found I enjoy that aspect of these WW1 aircraft. modern jets are a bit clinical whereas in these early aircraft there's a lot going on with different materials being used.
Good to see you back…& taking it a little bit more easy now…looking forward to watching.
I’ve done the same with my life recently too.
Good to be back and to hear from you too mate - cheers!

Thanks Bill, good to hear from you! The Stallion has a huge rotor which makes it a pain to display....

Hi Chris great to see you on the Tube. Look forward to the Wingnut kit build. I have one and think it is beyond my skill level. Cheers mate.
Cool, thanks EJ! It's a daunting kit but I'm taking it slowly...
Great to see you back and feeling better mate, I look forward to all your project this year!
You and me both!
Welcome back Chris! Looking forward to any content you put up
Thanks mate! Hope to share more soon...
Super Stallion looks great Chris, good luck with the Amodel, I shudder at the mere mention of the brand name 😅
Thanks Grant, yeah I'm a bit apprehensive about that one but let's see! Need to develop a really nice flight stand that suits it first...
