    Thanks for listening.
11:50 - Common themes of Satyr plays; To view society through a "fun-house mirror"
20:55 - The character of the God Dionysus; what he was God of.
23:13 - Other Gods associated with particular aspects of Dinoysus
If you've ever read Nietzsche and been baffled by what he meant by the Apollonian/Dionysian, this chapter of this book could help you at least with the Dionysian side, which Nietzsche was most interested in.
The formula in such Greek Tragedy was clear; take any situation in Greek mythos, social life, politics or history, and add Satyrs. Hilarity ensues from the juxtaposition of convention and culture with bizarrity and farce. Now I wonder what the equivalent of the Satyr is in today's art and media...?
This is just one chapter from a much larger book that I did not have time to fully narrate.

I don’t know why you read these awesome essays for free. But I thank you, especially for your read on The fate of empires. You should set up some donation channels so I can give you my thanks (although not much tbh). Have a great day!

Wish I had time to do more, couldn't find FoE or M&S anywhere, such important works, so wanted to give something back. This was a challenging one as I know nothing about tragedy. Helps my confidence & public speaking, keeps me from idleness, a little ego-boost from comments like this too,
For now instead of donating to me buy the books, support the authors/publishers or others like me. Thanks for listening!

Actors, I’ve been around plenty, and in different countries, are egoists and narcissists. All sociopaths are narcissists, but not all narcissists are sociopaths: a Great actor is an intolerable massive egoist - when off camera; but on camera , they show none

Dance dance wherever you may be
I am the Lord of the dance said he.
And I'll lead you all wherever it may be and I'll lead you all to the dance said he.
A song I remember from school.
Maybe it was to honour Dionysus? without the kids or even the teachers even knowing it.
