This ain’t gangster rap. This autobiographical. This is soul touching. This is God speaking through a vessel. People can say whatever they want when it comes to hip hop “evolving” but whatever we have today is no where near this pure and beautiful. Hip hop used to touch you deeply that even as a child you could feel the emotions of it. That’s just how powerful Tupac was for me. As a child I could feel the pain of the world and how we need to be better. I felt this at 4 yrs old.

I was crushed when he died. I couldn't believe some of the crip homies from around the block said he was just another "slob" ( a derogatory term for Bloods/Piru gang members) I couldn't believe my ears. Im Chicano and he moved more than just a simple banger. He spoke like a revolutionary. Damn.

Tupac ain't bad I love Tupac alot but X was much more better in the way of knowledge from a young age and he inspired more then 5million Kid and adults and mostly teensgers he spoke about depression suicide Tupac only spoke about gang type of shit that all so if u think about it xxxtentacion is better

THIS is what separated Pac. Pathos. What the Greeks used to describe EMOTION. He wasn't the best MC or lyricist...whatever. What Tupac Shakur was though was the SOUL of hip hop and the culture. No one, before or since, has been able to touch the emotions of all these people listening to the music. Talking about broken homes, abuse, childhood pregnancy, single mothers...all you ever hear about is money and women and drugs it seems. That shit is superficial. Yeah, he rapped about it too, but it wasn't the center of his message. When people REALLY get emotional thinking about Pac, it won't be because of songs like California Love or even Hit 'em Up...it's Papa'z Song , it's Keep Ya Head Up, it's Brenda's Got A Baby, it's Can U Get Away, it's So Many Tears. He poured his heart out with his words and we all felt that shit on some level. That's truly why he became immortal...we won't let him die because everything he spoke on REMAINS RELEVANT in our lives.

  • @patrickschultz4604

    Arguably his best song...
Now I'm lost and I'm weary
    So many tears
I'm suicidal so don't stand near me
My every move is a calculated step, to bring me closer
To embrace an early death, now there's nothing left
There was no mercy on the streets, I couldn't rest
I'm barely standing, bout to go to pieces, screamin' peace
And though my soul was deleted, I couldn't see it
I had my mind full of demons trying to break free
They planted seeds and they hatched, sparking the flame
Inside my brain like a match, such a dirty game
    No memories, just a misery
Painting a picture of my enemies killing me, in my sleep
Will I survive 'til the mornin' to see the sun
Please Lord forgive me for my sins, cause here I come
I suffered through the years, and shed so many tears
Lord, I lost so many peers, and shed so many tears
Lord knows I tried, been a witness to homicide

Arguably, it should've been one of 2PAC's most 'Critically Acclaimed' songs in 1995. Grammy Award worthy Hip-Hop. Not a single nomination. With such ingenious lyrical content by 2PAC. Yet, another potent beat produced by Shock G. This song remains influential to so many fans for over 25 years.

He didn't need death row. He should have stuck it out with Shock G and Johnny J, made a few more albums with interscope, and then did his own thing!
